come on turn 10 grow up and hear us

Anyone else find it funny that turn 10 locks the theads about how unhappy we are about the cost of dlc cars we already had fm4

Turn 10 isn’t locking the threads - this forum is moderated by volunteers. If you have an issue with DLC, don’t purchase it.

If you have the Season Pass you made a conscious decision to pay for a product before knowing its contents. I, for one, have the Season Pass knowing that I am at the mercy of whatever Turn 10 provides us with. I made that decision based on the amount of playability I have gotten out of each every Forza title.

Shadow edge, I don’t think he has a problem with the dlc it self. Rather, he has a problem with it not being included in the game or given to us at no extra charge. But OP, I also don’t think the moderators are just locking up threads for no reason. If they do that, it’s because there is already a good thread on that and you’re just creating duplicates.

As a former moderator myself (not for t10), I understand where they’re coming from. Any thread made that is against the forum ToS, is locked almost immediately. Some will let someone else post in the thread to try and show a “bigger” point of view, but ultimately all threads against the ToS are locked. Last I knew on most forums, the ToS included bashing developers, which is what most complaining threads turn into. If you have a valid complaint, such as the older “windshield cracking” threads, it most likely would not be locked.

As far as the season pass etc goes, anyone who bought the SP (such as myself) understands what they paid for, 60 cars (maybe more) that are not in the original game. If you have an issue with the way Turn 10 handles DLC, feel free to email them at forzafb@microsoft.com (?) All emails are read, although you may not receive an email back, and Turn 10 may not take your ideas into consideration. In the end, they are a business, as are all video game companies. Companies will do what they believe is best for there company in terms of revenue, and in Turn 10s case, they will actually take customers ideas into consideration. Consideration meaning, it will be thrown around, but may not stick.

My 2 cents.

I just think its crazy to make us pay for something we already payed for. For example the 69 fairlady z is in all the other forza games now its dlc. Thats what makes them look gready.

You paid for it in a past game, not in this game. I guarantee there were people that were happy to have it as dlc, and wished for it in the wishlist, since it was not in the original game. As others have said, it is your choice on which cars you do or do not want to purchase as dlc. If you only want to buy single cars in car packs to save money, that is your choice as a consumer. Most cars are completely remade compared to there Xbox 360 counterparts because they were not A+ quality in Turn 10s eyes.

You buy what you buy, if you want it, it is your choice to buy it or not. Again, if you have an issue with how they handle DLC, email them.

This poor logic never ceases to amaze (not Crucial V)- by the logic of it being in a past game I should never have to pay for a 911, Countach, Testarossa, Esprit or Corvette in any game because I bought the original Test Drive many, many years ago. At least Turn 10 try to improve things (GT6 on the other hand…). Or how about I bought a Commodore 13 years ago so I deserve a new on for free from Holden now.
FM5 is a very very good game and I am not going to complain that it is awful - despite it missing things I would like but it can’t always be the way I want it. If it was always the way I wanted then more racing games would have a better focus on muscle cars (modern and classic), or better yet may actually have some Aussie cars in them. Enjoy the game as it is, post constructively in the wishlist threads (and no where else), or just sell it and move on.

Interesting fact: the Forza 4 vehicle models are not the same vehicle models you are getting in Forza 5 and this newest standard of vehicle modeling has to be paid for somehow. The beloved '69 Fairlady Z you doled out money for in the previous iteration would fall on its face as the Forza franchise continues on with the Xbox One hardware. See one popular Sony racing franchise for reference and bear witness to the eventual demise of its 700+ first and second generation vehicle models.

Then again, your post - and those of many others - leads me to believe that you think you should be able to head to your nearest car dealer and trade up your older vehicle model for the latest and greatest at no cost. Of course, not only is that ridiculous, it’s terrible business practice. So, let’s leave the latter to the experts, shall we?

Keep in mind that the physics of the game is considerably different than that of FM4. I’m sure all of the FM5 cars have had to be reworked considerably just to work on the new engine.

Personally, I’d pay twice as much for twice as many cars

Based on that logic, if I had bought Forza 3, I should have not had to pay for Forza 4 & 5? And since I had bought an XBox 360 already, I shoulda been given an XBox One for free too?

/sarcasm

As many have said before and many will say again, if you don’t like the dlc, don’t buy it. No one is forcing you to spend money on it. If you say they are forcing you because you bought the season pass, then:

Its the mods that lock the threads not turn 10 most of the time

This just made me smile, the sort of pick me up i needed in the morning.

If you have a problem with DLC and the cars on the packs why did you buy the season pass, i got the season pass and i am happy with it, yes the cars was in forza 4 but like is said that was forza 4 this is forza 5 new game new xbox.

Do you just think company’s spend time and effort to do DLC and then give it away, its a business not a charity

I have no problem with it, there are many cars available in F4 that I want to see updated to the new standard in this game, and I’m happy to pay for it, it costs no more than a hamburger anyway, (according to Swedish prices).

There are several unlocked, being-unhappy-threads on the forums. This thread, on the other hand, is just forum spam.
