Anyone else having an issue where they are buying, searching, or selecting a car and not seeing an image of the vehicle on the left side of the screen in the car selection blade?
I’ve seen significant lags a couple times and a crash to home, but haven’t run into the cars just not appearing. When I notice the menu system lagging I quit the game and do a hard reset of the Xbox.
if it crashes during saving after paint/decal work or messes up on its own then you just see a square with no car at all but if you select it then the car should show on the main screen. My BMW went missing for a week until I updated the paint and graphics.
Car selection is a miserable experience. Laggy movement cars disappearing. Cars appearing out of sync and sequence. Still its just another sweet aspect of this gaming omni-shambles! You gotta love it for its foibles. Not.
Last night looking through my garage a few times the car model on the right continued to spin around but the four wheels remained in place. That was interesting.

Cars not showing in their box, cars in the wrong box and even wrong dealer, dealership freezing while scrolling, slow car selection in multiplayer (also with a black screen between races)
You name it.
Glad to know I’m not the only person then. I mean, for me when I select the car it shows on the center screen, but when trying to find the car through the still shots on the left it doesn’t appear. Thanks guys!
Car selection is a mess in this game. I don’t think I have ever seen a worse UX in thirty years of racing games. And it did not get better on One X.
And here i thought it was ment like that. Silly me.
I moved the game to a USB SSD and the problems went away. I had the SSD on my original Xbox One, but only used it to transfer games to my X1X since the new drive was supposed to be faster… Today I got fed up with the menu’s lagging, moved FM7 to the SSD and haven’t seen the problem since.
