Cars - Lexus LFA 2010 - sound is way off (1653741)

For a car that Lexus literally made a commercial for how it sounded, new Forza Motorsport doesn’t come close to the correct audio. This car screams at 9k rpm. Super high pitched. Current in game audio sounds more akin to my irl 2007 Shelby GT if the gears were drawn out longer.

I have to say you are completely right. It seems like a big downgrade from fh5.

Borderline terrible. The sound is also loopy and synthesized, most noticeable when you’re accelerating slowly in 5th and 6th, and it’s like this with nearly all cars in the game. It’s the same technique theyve used in Drive Club’s car sounds. Just terrible and cheap sounding.

I had to go back to the LFA in FM 5 and 6. It sounds absolutely heavenly.

To me it sounds like the engine is constantly hitting a resonance frequency. I literally wanted to mute my PC speakers doing the 2 lap Suzuka Event with the LFA.

Exactly! I’ve pointed this out on several occasions. The sounds are “loopy” and seem to be coming out of an echo chamber.

Exactly like you put it: stuck in a resonance frequency, especially at higher revs in top gear when the car is accelerating slowly. It’s ear bleeding. They’ve done a very poor job of sound in this game, it’s embarrassing.

I would like to address the issue about the Lexus LFA. It was supposed to give the iconic instrumental V10 sound we all know of but it does not sound like a Lexus LFA at all, both in exterior and interior. The higher tones are really muted and compressed making it sound like a Lamborghini or Audi.

The entire game is a disgrace. Wish I could get my money back at this point. If update 2.0 doesn’t do anything helpful (which I don’t expect it will change anything), this game is getting uninstalled.

Lexus might sue for this lol.

Honestly I hope they do.

Is Copy-paste Sound from Lamborghini/Audi V10. Please new Sound for the LFA, or Copy/paste Soundfile from Forza Horizon 5!

I drive the LFA so much in FH5 due to how good it sounds, they really nailed it, was really looking forward to hitting a track in the LFA only to find they absolutely ruined the sound in FM.

Is the sound designer for Motorsport deaf and just winging it?

Don’t compare that to their competitor,

how about irl references?

Sounds in their previous Horizon and Motorsport games have been heavenly for the most part.

I just don’t know how they could pass off the sounds in FM23 as acceptable.

We should see some kid of official letter from the game studio’s head or CEO, confirming that at least they are looking into it

Lexus LFA

I was excited to unlock this car in Forza Motorsport and after driving it, it doesn’t sound like the real thing at all. This is especially true at higher revs. It sounds like a generic V10. It’s missing that distinct high-pitch whine and that’s a real shame.

This car was touted for its unique soundtrack and in real life (and Gran Turismo 7) it sounds glorious. Here’s a video highlighting the difference:

Lexus LFA was one of my favourite car in FH4 because of sound. Why you changed the sound in FH5 and FM? I would love to hear that roar in FM again
