Is it just me, or do the cars seem to drive completely different depending on what you’re doing? I can tune a car, and get it also perfect, then when I’m driving it bro the map, it acts like a completely different car than when I’m on a track. It even does it when going between the road racing series and the street scene races. I mean what gives? It should still be the same concept and physics.
I think you’re on something.
Sometimes a car feels a certain way on your way to a race and when you start it, it feels different. More often then not it feels heavier/harder to steer on the track compared to freeroam. I’ve thought it have been just placebo or something, but maybe not now that someone else is having the same experience.
I felt it too
I only drive my own cars and I don’t save them till the builds and tunes are finished.
They all drive the same- just the way I like them.
Last night I took out a 95 Corvette that I made in the first week. This car was one of my favorite A class grip cars in FH2 and I have always paid great attention to it in all subsequent Forza games.
When I drove the car last night in a custom race I created, it understeered like crazy. There is no way- absolutely impossible- that this was the way it drove when I built and tuned it back in week 1.
Something has happened.
I think the temperature modifier is part to blame… before, tires gripped better up to the halfway mark (and started to fall off if sim damage/wear was on), but now a sub 60 temp never seams to warm up without drifting or plenty or burnouts
…also, if your setup has any adjustments to brake bias/pressure, it will work in reverse
Do all of your cars understeer more now? More rear grip from the tires or aero? More polar inertia?
For me its the same, it feels noticeably different in the street races. The car gets lots more instable. It feels like you bought all the upgtades and than didnt finetune it.
