Is it just me or do you guys out there feels like there is two different car handling physics in online mode and test drive/tune mode? Like drifting in test drive the car goes smooth trough the curves but in online mode the car is bouncy and grippy.
For me the experience differs,
In test drive/tune i really get the car dialled in.
I normally spend an hour or so tinkering around making the car stable,
First i get the tire pressure set for optimum tyre heat.
Then i adjust the alignment to get even temps on the inner/middle and outer edges.
I adjust the suspension to minimise sliding through the corners and maximising grip.
I adjust the dampning/bump, anti roll bars and most importantly the differential to perfect turn in and minimise oversteer/understeer.
Finally i adust gears to achieve the quickest 0-100mph.
I generally achieve top 1% in leaderboard rivals, yet on occasions when in a public hopper my tune feels completley different.
The car slides all over the place and feels so loose.
It is really frustrating.
My tyre temp seems to drop right off aswel.
I know driving in the wet/night it is hard to keep the heat in the tyres but after three fast laps in the dry for example, the car will go to ruins on the final lap.
Doesnt happen every race but at least 2/3 races out of 10.
Very strange.
edit - Nevermind, I don’t know how to reading.
Bump
I do agree that I think that there is two different car handling physics but I am not sure if its the heat of the battle/race that does it.
Yes they are different. It was the same in FM5. If you are tuning a car for lobby or a league race do your testing in a private lobby. I like to do mine with sim damage set as this adds another variant to the tune. It may take more time, but you should find the car fits you better in a lobby.
Please remember that if you download a tune to load it directly onto that car. When you load and save the front ends aren’t saving right. I’m sure this will be patched soon.
Yeah i read about that but in my case i do my own tunes so it shouldnt be that.
