Car sound/ turbo charger spool

A much smaller sound issue I’ve began to noticed repeatedly is a glass breaking sound. It happens about 30% of the time when I hit a rumble strip or drop a wheel off track for a second. I don’t hit anything, or crash but get the glass breaking sound. Way low on the priority list compared to restoring the proper sound, notes, and full range frequency though👍

What is the proper email address to mail them?

forzafb@microsoft.com

Have you tweeted them on all three accounts as well?

I used that email addy 3 times tweeted on a comment on Dan and Alan 's account

Turn 10 please patch these cars and use a little effort and time to get the real sounds. I would be so grateful and it would really show not only me but I think all of us that you truly care about your fans… thank you.

The next few weeks and months will speak for themselves.

Perhaps as early as next Tuesday, at least for the car sounds to be better balanced with the rest of the sound stage. We might get a mega patch with corrected sounds or consecutive ones each week or each month. I’m okay with either as long as effort is put into aligning samples with the correct cars as they were in FM6/H3. I really don’t think that’s asking too much.

@Speedster996 The 2015 919 has a completely different engine note to one in FM6.

I’ll run some comparisons with FM6 and get back to you. Need to hear this thing on YT as well and find other sources for a high quality comparison.

I’ve just got a really deep gut feeling that they are going to address pretty much all these issues because it forms a HUGE aspect of the core gameplay and overall appeal of Forza. There were similar issues in FM6 and before you knew it, patches started to roll in.

PCARS2 has done the Aventador justice indeed. I also posted a Motor Trend review of the Aventador S in the other car sound thread in Tech Support; did you see it? That is pretty much the sound the Aventador SV has, and to a great degree, the original Aventador as well.

I enjoyed how FM4 attempted to get the sound close to the actual Aventador, then FM5 cleaned up that sample, added a lot more detail, but among the FM games, 6 has the absolute best, most accurate sample. The exhaust wail is there, the motor sound is there, you hear almost the exact same off-throttle exhaust crackling as the real life Aventador.

Clearly, you have an ear for these things and I’m also guessing you’re playing the game through a good sound system.

Horizon 3 has got to have the best sound of the Aventador’s exhaust - it is distinct from both the Murceilago and Reventon and exhibits a denser-sounding almost intimidating growl that transitions into a howl and then a scream. My only gripe is that Horizon uses a method for recording and recreating sounds that tends to make cars sound loopy and robotic generally. Plus, the motor sound doesn’t have as clear a presence as it does in FM6.

If they could somehow take the best of motor+exhaust sounds of the Aventador from FM6 (along with unique off-throttle crackles) and take the exhaust sound alone from Horizon 3, coupled with the improvements they’ve introduced in the sound stage in FM7, that would straight away hit the sweet spot. F6 and H3 absolutely did total justice to the Aventador, I just wish we could mesh both those samples so that we’d get the exhaust AND motor character nailed correctly moving between cockpit, bonnet and chase cams. I hope T10 are willing to pay attention to intricate details the same way we car guys do. They have done that wonderfully on a number of cars, but I feel every car deserves the same attention, especially the highly desirable ones from past games.

I’m just a typical car guy and the 1st thing that attracts us is the sound. I would say because you know you’re a true car guy if you can hear the car , say what motor it has etc without seeing it…

But yeah I agree fully with you Speedster996 , a mixture of fh3 and fm6 is a recipe for the perfect Aventador. The acceleration sound of fh3 and the deceleration sound of fm6 and the would be yummy…

I’ll be testing some cars tonight and I’ll post my findings… keep airing your thoughts guys:+1::+1::+1::+1:

On a positive note, the 91’ M3 sounds amazballs! Still no depth or low end frequency, but the growl is there. Never heard this car before, never used it before in other games. Not sure if it’s realistic, but has a great sound to it.

They really somehow messed the sounds up this time round. I just watched an Aventador 2012 side by side comparison with Pcars2 and that sounds alot like the real thing. Even Horizon 1/forza 4 sounded pretty close, thats when you notice these errors in the next Forzas, Horizon 3’s wasnt too bad I guess.

i think fh3 had the most accurate Aventador

Yeah, when i started the forza cup the 3 forced races were in total silence! What a crock.

Andy

Surely, you could have framed that a little better and perhaps highlight key aspects you felt were poorly done. I’m with you on this - the sound stage is loud and clear, but the cars can feel weak and somewhat muted. FM6 had a similar issue if you recall? Look how it turned out after the patches. It is among THE best sounding Forza games to date.

The aim of this thread is to keep the general tone highly positive and constructive so that the developers valuable might take these insights into account when scrutinizing car sounds and working on patches.

You misunderstood my tone, sorry if it came across as a rant.I found it as much amusing as annoying!
I thought i had sat on the tv remote and muted the sound but after the first race the sound came back after the race. Then the second race was the same silent race with the truck so like an idiot i quit the race thinking i could go straight into the cup races. Not to be.I had to sit through the same three races again in silence until it had completed the introduction.
Overall i think the games great, sounds of cars could be a little bassier or louder exhausts but apart from the rivals issues im ok with it.

No harm done mate!

We’re all just hoping the devs give this the attention it needs at the moment. Precisely as you observed, we need more bass and loudness, particularly in the exhausts. The inaccuracies are a different issue though.
