does anyone else have my problem ? car flat out in top gear in a straight line when suddenly it slows down grrr i have ABS on thats it
I know if your going flat out & the road starts to rise you can lose up to 5mph, i notice it on Nürburgring, Bathurst & Prague with certain cars. Not sure if that’s any help or the car slowing down more than i mentioned.
You need to make a pit stop and refuel!
It’s probably the ABS. It seems like that assist can engage at some weird moments on the track.
Learn to drive without that assist - you’ll be faster with it off.
Get a grip its nothing to do with abs etc, its the games servers that give slow down, it happens nearly everyrace you just gotta put up with it, until it gets fixed…

ABS should not affect it unless you are applying brakes. ASSISTED braking is different, that would explain it automatically braking without any input.
if not then yeah id presume its inclines or a very dodgy gearing ratio maybe bogging out on a gear set far too low?
Is it only happening on one car or has it happened a few times? are you setting your own gears with a race transmission? and check your brake assists, ABS on is ok and should not affect unless your braking but if its set to ASSIST then it will automotically kick in.
Only other thing I can think of is a controller issue, perhaps it is malfunctioning and getting stuck in a little bit? this I think would happen more randomly than just on the end of a straight.
If nothing else works then try a different controller or go in to settings and change your deadzone so that the braking trigger does not kick in until fully pressed maybe?
Also, if it is doing it in a few cars, maybe save a replay and post it up so people can see what is happening. Someone might be able to troubleshoot it better that way.
It sounds like brake assist is on. Turn that off in the assists options area and that will solve that issue. Your new issue will be learning how to brake properly so please practice it before u go online

I had this issue early on in Forza 5. It was the stupidest thing too. I realised with the new controllers having softer triggers, that i was resting my finger on it, and subconsciously pulling slightly with my left finger. Sounds stupid, but that’s what was happening. Had a friend who kept doing the same thing on battle field and pulling up his sights. lol
Make sure it’s not something daft like that, it’s so easy to do and you don’t even realise you’re doing it. lol
I occasionally change view by accident when feathering the throttle if my rt. index finger clips the RB.
Also, my thumb sometimes slips off LS when things get real squirelly- ruined more than a few fast laps that way, lol.

I’d say (as others have pointed out) to make sure you have ABS on rather than Brake Assist (I’m sure you already know they’re not the same thing) and of course, make sure you’re not resting your fingers on the brake trigger or the hand-brake button. My biggest problem is flying off the track because I was sleeping and missed my braking point, hence the reason I don’t do much multiplayer.
