Everytime i engage the brakes even just a little, every car im in pulls either left or right and its unpredictable as to which way it pulls. Also, i slide and tires screech when turning even at lower speeds. How do I fix this with settings???
Please list the settings you are currently using under Driving Assists.
Braking: abs on
Throttle: unassisted
Steering: simulation
Traction control: on
Stability control: on
Shifting: auto
Try testing with Stability and ABS off and see if that makes a difference. Does this happen with every car and every track or is it specific to some combo circumstances? Are you using controller or wheel?
Seems to be every car and track. Im on wheel logtiech g923
Read through our Wheel Guide at Forza Support for settings that may improve input sensitivity. You may be able to connect with others here to share specific settings that work well on your specific wheel model.

Turned the settings off you told me to try and it still seems to be happening. I just dont get it. Even in multiplayer people arent having issues braking or sliding out and its frustrating.
brake bias 50-50? maybe you mapped hand brake for brake.
Double checked and the hand brake is a different button map than regular brake. It just feels like the cars are on ice or the brakes are locking up right when i press them with my pedals. Its really strange
Thrustmaster here same, straight line driving all assist off, car will start shaking and jerking left and right…
To me the cars feel generally tuned to oversteer more than they should realistically.
Try threshold braking. Use 85-90% of the brakes instead of abruptly going on and off the brakes each time. The brake induced oversteer is still an issue to me with many cars, but this does help circumvent it a little bit.
Wheel firmware updated?
Check the Controller settings-> Steering deadzones. Had to change defaults after switching to Simulation using controller.
But no idea if it affects the wheel. Works fine here even with steering left/right car was going back to straight line braking.
Are you guys using manual shifting or automatic? Im using automatic with my wheel and im wondering if that is the issue where the car isnt downshifting automatically fast enough to use engine braking?
I just set the blame on bad brake Job from mechanic. But yep had the same problem on mini at the first career class. No assists on. All manual. I tried to adjust the bias but no effect.
You don’t want to use engine braking anyway. Plus, the game automatically rev matches, which prevents any engine braking from happening. This doesn’t matter.
So I feel kinda stupid but also happy. So I think I found out the reason for my braking problems was related to HORRIBLE basline tune that the cars come with, even the GT cars. After watching some videos and adjusting the tune properly, even my golf R is handling and braking a thousand times better and makes the game more enjoyable. Now if the devs can fix the multiplayer penalty and wrecking system, it would really be amazing!
Do you mind sharing the main points that you changed in the tuning or also share which video/article help you the most? I’m having the same problem (Golf R).
Yes, Forza is exponing ALL those “SIMRACING EXPERTS” that don’t know how to fix suspension issues.
What base line tune should i change my cars to? Does every cars tune have to be different in order for them not to be really squirrelly when braking?
Do you have any videos to refer too?
I notice some cars have around 45% rear brake bias at car level 1 when brake upgrades are not done. I recall I was driving BMW M3 2005 and the car starts turning on braking. I was using it for easier turn in with mild braking. But some cars may be too unstable and brake bias will need to be moved forward.
But in no car I felt it to be buggy and doesn’t need any assists.
