This did resolve my issues, set the new xbox one x to the home console for my user and my sons and then he was able to get the car pass and dlc cars for free for the first one. Thanks for the help all!
Hi, I have similar question. I have two profiles on my home console: my son’s and mine. I wonder if I activate Car Pass or VIP Pass on my account, will my son also have acces to these DLCs? Or maybe I should buy another VIP/Car Pass for son’s account? I’ve just talked to Xbox support but it seems they don’t know it. They suggested to contact Playground Games in this matter…

The VIP pass benefits only apply to the buyer. In this case, if you want your son to have the benefits you need to purchase another VIP pass under his account. The car pass works differently; the buyer has access to the cars for 0 in-game credits, while other users can purchase them for in-game credits if the car pass or pack is installed on that xbox (with a valid license, i.e. the buyer has the xbox set as home or is logged in)
That is completely incorrect. There is no need to buy two car pass and VIP pass licenses. As long as the console is set to your home console, all other users have access to the content and benefits as well.
VIP benefits will work on both accounts and car pass cars will be free on both accounts for the first time purchase.
I don’t believe that is correct, or at least that is not the way it is working for my son, he is getting VIP benefits also even though I only got VIP with my ultimate edition.
So it seems that if I want to have full functionality of VIP Pass / Car Pass on each account on my home console, I should buy two separate passes for each one? It’s senseless…
For me, even though I downloaded them days ago, the ultimate and VIP content was not available initially. It was uploaded to my base game, as I played. While racing around, I would get a message telling me that something else had been added. The car packs for example. I suggest that you go out and do some driving, have some fun. You’ll have your extra content shortly.
Anyone else get the message today that the Nissan and Mazda are now available? Looked around and couldn’t find them. Searched online and I saw something that said they come out on Oct 5th.
See the Content Schedule pinned at the top of the forum. You may see an in game message, but you won’t be able to claim new cars until Thursday Friday each week.
I log in this morning ( 5/10/2018 ) on the advertised release date for the car pass cars, RX-7 Spirit R and Sentra Nismo, the screen pops up with “these cars Available now!”
I go to buy them " This will not be unlocked until 5/10/2018"

Does anyone know what time the car pass cars come out? I’ve been waiting for the 2002 RX-7 to come out it says on the 5th but it is the 5th so how long must i wait? Thank you in advance.

I had a notification flash up saying that I had two cars one was the RX-7 (I cannot remember the other that flashed up) but I cannot find them anywhere in the game.
Go to one of your homes or the festival then go to the Autoshow tab and look for car pass you’ll be able to see all the car pass cars there.
They will be released tomorrow on 10/5, either at Midnight or around 11:00 EST, if memory serves me correctly.

In other words, if you don’t buy the DLC…your gameplay will suck…hopefully I will be able to buy the cars I want…I notice that they are creating a events that can only be done with DLC…forcing you to buy that car to complete that event!

I have FH4 UE and the car pass. I can add a new cars to my garage from ingame menu. But I dont understand one thing: should I install every car (10Mb) on my HDD from game pass menu in MS store (I have no problems with adding a new cars from ingame menu without installing them to HDD)?
