Can't sync

Afternoon all, my horizon 2 wouldn’t sync so I deleted the local saves as per some advice on the forum and now it won’t sync to the cloud or anything?? How can I sort this please? It won’t give me any options and goes straight to intro. I love this game and had nearly all the cars! Any clues as to how I can get it to sync to the cloud.
Ps thought is was having same issue with fm5 but that has just started syncing data thank goodness!!

Someone suggested deleting the local save files? That’s not the proper way to go about this and, unfortunately, you’ll have to start from scratch.

For anyone thinking they have a sync issue … you need to let the console do its thing; it can take several hours to complete the process. If you delete your game save file, there is no going back.

Hi, my 6 yr old is very upset due losing all cars and data, someone suggested deleting local saves which I did and now I can’t get the cloud save either? All my reward money has gone from the hub? Can someone send some money or something so we can get some cars back? It’s saved my pbs, road discoverys and other stuff?

I would not recommend deleting your local save data unless specifically directed to do so by either Xbox Live Customer Support (with documentation) or by Turn10 Staff directly.

The thing with the cloud is, you can only recover your save data from the cloud if you’ve synced it to the cloud. If you use your Xbox One in “offline mode” or do not connect to the internet then your game can never save to the cloud. Also, if you use “Instant On” mode and do not quit the game then it cannot sync to the cloud. Your game must not be running (you must quit it) and the console must be on for a sync to take place.

It sounds like you did not have your local game save synced to the cloud for whatever reason and then you went and deleted it.

Unfortunately, you must start over as there isn’t a way to recover the deleted data. The information that you are seeing - such as roads synced, ultimate skills achieved, head to head races won and all that - those are things that saved to the server at some point - kind of like Rivals times and your ghost. These things are not deleted from the server just because you deleted your game save as you do not have access to the server they are on.

Deleting your local save does not do permanent damage, but I would still not recommend it.

Fire up the game and let it sync to the cloud but be warned it can take hours. It may look frozen but let it finish.

I’m currently in the same issue but what I did was call xbox support, they had me do a few things like restart and go into settings then I believe system and then click persistent something…they said to click on that and it will act like nothing happened but when you go back into the game it should start syncing. Like I said currently I have been having this same issue and I am still dealing with it. If you don’t want to jump into this suggestion I understand. Call support and see what they say, and hopefully it gets resolved for you!
