Can't play on my PC. Stuck on Syncing data...0%

So first I could not play the demo and now I can’t play the Ultimate Version I bought. It just sits on Syncing data…0%. What the hell is this syncing and why won’t it move past 0%? How long should this take? I have waited for over 30 minutes. I never had this issue with Horizon 3. I tried reinstalling the Xbox apps. I am logged into Xbox Live. I am at a loss. Any ideas?

Check if your Xbox-services are enabled.
right click start - “RUN” - type “services.msc” … scroll down the list and all the Xbox-Services should be either on “manual” or “automatic” , it should not be on “disabled”.

If that doesn’t work, you can try a reinstall of all the Xbox-apps through Windows Powershell (powershell is located somewhere in your start menu)
copy and paste this line in powershell to reinstall xbox-stuff.

If this doesn’t work, then idk. I had the EXACT same problem with the demo, and i ended up reinstalling Windows 10 clean to fix it. i believe it had something to do with the Xbox Identity Provider package.

Nothing works. Left it for 3 hours and it is still on 0%.

Interesting thing now. I tried it on my Xbox One yesterday and it came up saying there was some corrupt save data or something and did I want to load last save or something. I chose last save data and it works on Xbox One. Now I go back to my PC and it no longer has the syncing data window it just does not load. It sits there at the window spinning the loading icon after I hit enter.

Hello,

Could you possible try these steps and then let me know if this fixes the issue for you?

PC -

  1. Make sure your PC Offline Permissions is set to ON
    Open the Microsoft store.
Click on your profile Image and then click settings.
Make sure your Offline Permissions is set to ON

  2. Disconnect your PC from the internet.

  3. Go to your Windows 10 Settings → Storage → Apps & games -->Forza Horizon 3 -->Advanced Options -->Select the “Reset” button.

  4. Start the game, start playing for a few minutes to create a new local save

  5. Connect back to the internet.

XBOX -

  1. On Home, select My games and apps.

  2. Highlight the game, press the Menu button on your controller, and then select Manage game.

  3. In the menu on the left of the screen, scroll down to Saved Data, then highlight the saved data for your gamertag on the right and press the A button on your controller.

  4. You’ll be prompted to confirm deletion of this game save data: (You need to select Delete Everywhere in order for this to work)
*Delete from console removes the local copy of this save. You can get it from the cloud the next time you play.
*Delete everywhere removes your saved data from this console, the cloud, and all other consoles you play on.
    *Cancel leaves your data intact.

Thank you

All this did was delete all my [Mod Edit - Abbreviated profanity, profanity and profanity that is disguised but still alludes to the words are not permitted - D]. thank you very much… soo much wasted time. for nothing.

I imagine what actually deleted your info was you hit cancel during sync.
