Will we be able to pick how long we race for in career mode, I like to race longer each race then the short 3- 4 laps per race and can we Qualfying for each race not just start mid pack and crash

Overall, I am less concerned about the inclusion of qualifying in single player because longer races means more chances to work your way through the field normally. I still think it needs to be implemented in multiplayer to some degree. Iām curious how the pre-race warm-ups will factor into grid ordering, if at all.

Has anyone seen this feature in any videos or can otherwise confirm it, or are we stuck with the age old āhussle your way from p15 to top 3 in two lapsā?
I really liked this feature in fh3, hopefully it is implemented. It would be fun to see some more realistic number of laps, say even 10, to really enjoy the dynamic weather, and to not have to muscle your way past the drivatars.

Thatās great! Honestly this and homologation are bigger news for me than 4K and custom driver gears.
I think longer races could even make drivatars less aggresive. I try to race fair (even though I play only single player) but those 2 and 3 laps races forced me to drive much more agressive than I liked to - I guess my drivatar behaviour reflected this. In Forza7 I wonāt be forced to overtake 6 cars per lap, I can take my time and run much cleaner, realistic and more strategic races. Really, really good news!

Bill Geise, the Creative Director for FM7, Confirmed it in nearly every interview he has done since FM7 was announced at E3.
Yep, they said that career race parameters are completely customizable. If you want, you can set a race to a full real-time 24 hour endurance race.

So how can I change number of Laos in carrier mode?
FM is one of 3 reasons I one Xbox and after FM7 I seriously consider selling box and have only PS4.

You can change the length of the career race. After you select the race and are in the pre-race menu, go to the setup tab and select āassistā. Race length is at the bottom of the assist menu. There are three options, standard, long, and extra long. The extra long setting usually takes about 50 minutes to complete for a casual driver like myself.
I prefer the longer races, to be able to slowly work cleanly through the field, but the problem is how long it takes. At 50 mins per race, youāve got 432 races to get through in career mode, excluding the showcase events, so itās going to take over 360 hours of driving to complete every championship. So Iāve ended up going back to the shortest setting so I can fully complete it in a more reasonable amount of time.
Why rush the game? The next Forza Motorsport isnāt going to be released earlier then 20 months from now.
