Multiple races and this has only happened once. This doesnt seem like a bug but is still like to understand what exactly happened here?
And i had plenty of gas to finish the lap. Revved normally afterwards

What input device are you using during this race, wheel or controller?
It looks like something is causing multiple simultaneous gear shift inputs. I have personally experienced incorrect wheel H-pattern shifter calibration that causes gear selection to be off.
Im using elite controller 2. I was using automatic cuz im still not confident enough with manual for multiplayer.
Yeah not sure if its a bug, if so ill add to troubleshooting but wanted to get feedback first to see if it is a bug.

If you’re in automatic and not running TCS/STM assists, I would file the bug. That is seriously weird behavior.
Yea only assist i ever use is ABS and automatic.

The automatic shifting in game does get a bit wonky from time to time. I have had cars that would not shift (like your clip), some that upshift for no apparent reason (run out gear 1, shift 2-4 in rapid succession, in gear 5 at 65-70mph and will not downshift), and some that just refuse to downshift (at all, for any reason)- and then after restarting the race (or exiting the test session) be perfectly fine.
Not sure if anyone has reported it- but seeing the long list of unresolved issues, and the lack of updates to the known issues list, It’s likely going to be around for a while.
I guess its the auto . And maybe its rare to have auto with no tc.
All I’ve done for months is auto with no tc and this is the first time I’ve noticed this
This is playing with cloud gaming right? Maybe some sort of lag spikes causing multiple shifts to register or something along those lines would be my guess.

Nope it was hardwired lan half a terabyte up/down. I’ve actually never had connectivity problem with my xbx except for when i play the battlefront classic collection 
Hi, no matter if you even have a 1GB internet or have a 5ms ping, it still has input delay.
In the OP post it has cloud gaming beta plain as day.You are using cloud gaming and their IS delay no matter how good your connection is.INSTALL the game and then see if it happens.The cloud gaming is still in beta and although it works pretty good it’s deffo not for me.
The game is installed on the ssd in the xbox. What makes you think its cloud gaming?
