Campaign - Forza Driver's Cup

Yep happens all the time, that’s their job. I’m not real fond of it either, but it has to be done to keep the forum from exploding with repeat questions and similar posts.

They’re super busy and don’t have time to send you a PM that they’ve done it. If you click on the my topics button at the top it will take you to every thread that you responded to or created, so you can always find your posts that way. It can be a little cumbersome but the system is about as good as it can be and I think the mods do a very good job keeping it tidy. Even if I wish all of my posts stayed in their own threads.

Not sure how many races exactly but I got all the trophy’s and all the showcases (except endurance races) in about 20ish hours. After that it unlocks even more races if you are a completionist. I’d say a good 40-50 hours to do them all. This is on standard race length. You could add to that if you set the race length longer.

For those of you who are curious about the campaign, I will shed some light as I have been playing a lot since the Ultimate release. I have already completed the first 3 cups completely, and I have 1 series and 1 endurance race left in the Dominator Cup, 9 series in the Masters cup, and 8 in the Forza cup until fully completed. With that being said, there are about 4 races to a series in the first cup, and later 6 when elite is brought out. There are 5 races in a series in the Breakout, and then 6 when you hit elite. And 6 races to a series for the other 4 cups. So if you want to know a campaign length, I will give you the math…

R = Race, S = Series, SH = Showcase

Seeker Cup -
4R x 7S = 28
6R x 3S = 18
5SH + 46 = 51 total races

Breakout Cup -
5R x 8S = 40
6R x 2S = 12
5SH + 52 = 57 Races

Evolution Cup -
6R x 13 = 78
5SH + 78 = 83 Races

Domination Cup -
6R x 13 = 78
5SH + 78 = 83 Races

Masters Cup -
6R x 13 = 78
5SH + 78 = 83 Races

Forza Cup -
6R x 13 = 78
5SH + 78 = 83 Races

So now lets combine all of the races for a 100% completion…
51 + 57 + 83(4) = 440 Races

Now this is NOT counting the endurance races which I am only missing 1 showcase, and that 1 is an endurance race, the others have taken roughly 1-3 hours to complete on Normal laps (there is an option to extend the laps)

So there are plenty or races to do for the campaign with several hours to waste playing around.

As far as the cars, Most will be the new homoglobate crap. I find that some of it works, but others, it’s easier for you to tune/upgrade yourself. With that being said, you get a selection of cars. The restrictions for that series will show up when you try to upgrade your car. This is usually by (maxes) Tire Compound, Tire Width, HP, PI level. Keeping this in mind, you can change things around to meet restrictions, or race stock, it is your preference.

Does anybody have information on the elite career? I started in the forza drivers cup and was going to work backwards since I was free to do so but after earning the 110,000 sp nothing do i need to finish all other championships first? And do i have to place 1st in all races or is completing all of the series enough

Do,the Forza cup, then more races are added to each cup.Cars and gear await.

There are Achievements tied to completing the Elite versions of each Series.

To complete those you need to get the full amount of Series Points at the top (the same way you unlocked new Series previously). That gives you the prize car and golden Driver Gear.

To get the Achievement you need to do that, plus all of the Showcases plus all of the Divisions. You do not need to finish in 1st place in every race, completing each Division is enough.

So will I get penalised in any way for not coming first in every championship as I work through career.

The AI Drivatar difficulty imbalance is meaning I’m on a higher level than I’d normally be comfortable with. I can just about win most races on long but occasionally on certain tracks I’ll just get annihilated. The AI is terribly imbalanced across circuits.

That’s fine, I’d rather have a challenge most of the time, but it means I’m not necessarily winning everything. I’d hate to have to make it easy (boring) just to see everything the game has to offer.

Exactly, your highest point total of a series is carried over. Now you do not need to keep ranking high throughout the cup, as long as you hit the point total across all events. The elite version of the cup needs a good amount of points, but it’s divided between every series and all showcase events. But in order to finish the elite cup, you need to finish every series and every showcase in the cup. Hence why I gave the total amount of races needed for completion, but didn’t give anything regarding a position needed.

Has anyone completed the Forza Drivers ELITE Cup yet?

If so, is it possible to reset all the series to attempt again?

I’ll keep this short and simple; I go and complete a series in the drivers championship but when I’m done I’m still short enough points to get the “check mark.” How are these points awarded and what do I need to to to insure I get a check marks when done.

Thanks.

To get the check mark you have to win every race.

Thanks, I thought winning each race that was implied. Which is why I’m at a loss about this.

Since you only need to finish 3rd overall to pass the championship, the check is to show it is 100% completed.

So last night, on my twitch stream none the less, I completed the entire campaign, 100% doing all the races. Now, I can actually say it was NOT worth it at all. For getting all the elite cups, you’re given a FE car, and the tuxedo driver gear. So all the locked cars that say you can earn them winning the Forza Cup, is a complete and utter lie. No, those care do not unlock. So the only way to get ANY locked car, is through the Specialty Dealership, or when your driver levels up.

On page 6 I listed how many races there are. There are 2 series in which I did not earn 1st place is so they are not checked, but everything else I raced and came in first place, 90% of it was on the highly skilled drivetar level with traction and stability on.

Note : You can change how long the races are which is either Normal, Long, or Extended Long (may not be exact). These can drastically change your experience. For instance the first race for the NASCAR series is Homestead 11 laps on Normal. On Extended Long, this race is 100 laps. So keep that in mind.

The campaign is still long and offers several race types which makes it enjoyable, the rewards though…are…meh…at best

Hey Senistr since you have 100% the campaign, can you verify if there is an option to reset and start it over. I think a bunch of use are hoping that you can basically wipe the check marks and go again. Like playthrough #2 on other game types. I remember hearing something like this on one of the dev interviews, or something - that you would be able to redo the career repeatedly.

I don’t care about the points, achievements, or rewards. I only do single player, and would love to replay the career with all different cars each time. Worst case, I will manually setup something on my tablet to keep track, but using the built in UI is preferable.

You can replay any event with different cars and different difficulties but it will not remove the cracks… Besides why would you anyway? Just play the ones you want does it really have to reset for you to enjoy it?

It is nice to have a progress indicator. If I just want to “have fun” I could race Free Play. The career banners are a nice way of keeping track, as well as getting me to race things I would normally ignore.

Many games offer this type of secondary (or more) playthroughs of their campaigns (careers). Often with additional features or advanced rewards. Check out Bordelands or Diablo… end game.

Would like to know this too. We know you can redo any event but myself and above poster want to know if you can “zero” the points scores of all championships for a clean slate to redo them.

I’m not sure the point of career is a reward is it? You should play it because it’s entertaining. I’m going through it slowly. No assists, long races and the highest AI I can compete against (Pro or Unbeatable mainly). I’m completing all events before moving onto the next level and I’m really enjoying it. No idea how many hours this is going to take but it’ll be a lot. Cars along the way are fine but they aren’t the motivation.
