Bump setting tuning physics issue results in unstable handling or leaderboard advantage

While it good to discuss, has anyone submitted a post in FM Report New Issues?
Most likely still won’t be fixed, but you never know.

I think a lot of things went wrong and changed throughout development, i think the last year everything was just thrown together to get it out.

But this particular issue with tuning, is about the tuning not the physics. This all should have been tested and even if it wasnt, once it was known post release it should have been addressed.

Every racing game has these things happen, gt7 had the super speed curb issue on deep forest, acc had the toe issue, etc. But these things were adressed, this obviously hasnt been. Id say thats the problem more than anything, bugs and glitches happen, but exploits need to be fixed.

Forza has grip and speed curbs

I bet most of it is just sour grapes.

There’s world #1 tunes available to download if anyone thinks it’s purely down to the tune and not player skill.

Heres a prime example of the issue here. Im p2 on the divisions rivals with a nomal low bump tune. The p1 time is ran use all these glitches and bugs and is 1.6sec faster on a sub 1 min track. If this clearly doesnt show an issue in the physics and tuning, i dont know what does.
Fast Esports drivers such as Zoom and barcode are not even close either.

One of the many things I find interesting about this tuning set up is how long it’s taken to be ‘found out’
So to speak. The game has been out for nearly two years now and I’ve not heard or seen of this before.

Normally tuning set ups and META set ups for rivals such as min/ max are discovered early on. This makes me wonder if anything underlying has changed since the games release, or maybe I’m just not aware of what’s of going on like I have been in previous games.

OP: can you share a tune or link to a download tune that has the supposedly bump glitch?

Here is one I made about a month ago. And it’s not even that extreme. If you want to see example. Just max the bump. I could have took the #1 time. https://youtu.be/L4BHw6dk0VM?si=JU2OM8uUxD1PZ_sB

Hello folks

I drove FORZA in the afternoon, Daytona I had a really strong fight for three laps, the one behind me had a 4sec gap. What I didn’t know until then was that it was a Ford Focus, at the beginning of lap four he was right behind me, until the last lap we had a fight at eye level, after the bus stop he passes me and I see that the rear was completely raised and he took 2sec from me after the bus stop. And now the question is how does that work? I know that if you turn the bump all the way up and the rear of the car lifts off completely, it somehow creates extra boost or something. I don’t know what it does, but it destroys the MP.

The bump thing was discovered 1 month into the release of the game. And was reported. Around that time. If I’m not mistaken someone on team JSR discovered it but don’t quote me on that.

better top speed that was almost 30 km/h he took two seconds off me after the bus stop that must have been easily 30/40 km/h how do you want to take two seconds off someone after the bus stop in the tcr class. If it goes on like this you won’t be able to play MP any more, it’s getting really ridiculous.

None of JSR Chronics have that Bump set up andit certainly wasn’t on any of the open source set ups on forzaverse though.

Does the rear ride height need raising?

I don’t think chronic was the one that discovered it. And he doesn’t use it. And no you don’t have to raise the rear. That’s more of a p550 thing that’s a whole separate issue.

What does the ride height do? Some posters are saying it’s not just P550 issue

Helps rotates the car and supports the high bump. Most common on fwds.
Even with a usual setup it makes the car go 2 tenths faster

These things have been known for a long time but only recently in past few months they have been shared on discords and been shared in the game

Thanks, I agree with the OP if it’s as widespread and as powerful as it is.

Yeah there is a lot of talk about high bump tunes on Forzaverse Discord which has a few thousand members. This has then been leaked further onto leaderboards and shared tunes. Either the car will grip up a lot or just pull itself of the track but on a lucky run it will be 1-2 seconds faster than a normal tunes

Thanks. Not been on there since last year so this the first I’ve heard. A member of the forum
Said he runs bump at like 8.5 so I tried it and it was quick but a bit unpredictable but I could certainly see how it would quick with practice

the guy who started this thread is 1st haha
