Builders Cup Open Tour isn't actually open

I just finished all the Builders Cup events and thought I’d buy a car I wanted to race and redo one of the Open Tour events. Bought the car. Painted it. Went to race it in the “Open” B Class and it’s not there. A number of cars that should be there are missing. Sad times.

Sometimes there’s a theme to the open tour. I know for the coming update it will be Italian cars, don’t know if there’s a theme for the current tour.
Can you check this?
What car were you (planing on) using?

i love how they say they want us to bond with cars but cant even choose the cars we want to drive.
what is even the point of having this huge car selection if the devs control what we drive, when we drive it, what we can upgrade and when we can upgrade it.

They also said they built this game from the ground up. Everything they tell us is a lie to steal our hard earn money! Next thing they will say is all bugs are fixed after patch 2.0.

The current theme is German cars but the player is not restricted to German cars (all the AI will be in them though).

What you can’t do though is use any “race” cars. I haven’t checked (obviously) if all road cars are eligible but all my S class ones appear to be.

Makes sense. Can’t use race cars in a “Motorsport” game… /s

If it has a theme that’s restricting it, then it shouldn’t just be called “Open”.

I grabbed the Auto Union, because I wanted to do a series in an old open wheel racer and Free Play fails to scratch that itch properly. Someone else mentioned that race cars seem to be excluded, and I believe that’s correct.

The lack of explanation is very poor. I can only presume that the exclusion of race cars is due to it not fitting with the “builders cup” theme but there is no explanation of that. As you say, the “Open” wording is also confusing. They could easily have called it “S class road cars” or something similar to show they are excluded.
