I, as many of you i guess, deeply want to see the Chiron in game, and to this day, every first tuesday of each month have been a disapointment.
I was wondering why, is it a liscence matter?
But i have thought about something else,
Since this car performances and especially the top speed are yet unknowns, maybe, turn10 just can not affort to interpret it!
If i am correct, it may be a bad new, since Bugatti isn’t planning to break the record until 2018 according to something i have read somewhere…
What do you guys think about it?
Thanks you for reading me and please, excuse my bad english.
Ps: by the way, i think it is a shame that we don’t see more Ferraris in game, so many gorgeous things came from this brand!
Just about everything you see in a Forza game is licensed. The cars, tracks, everything! So, unless you want Turn 10 Studios to end up in court, they need to be licensed!
Ok, well maybe there’s some cash and a few other things in there too, but licencing is pretty much the main thing lol.
As for how I know (I’m at least 80% sure), I work in the legal sector (albeit in a different area), and intellectual property is one of the areas I studied.
Not necessarily. Could be a number of things like cost, other partners with exclusive rights (think EA and Porsche), orange as simple at Bugatti not wanting to play ball.
Turn 10 is probably very aware that the Chiron is high on the wish lists. I’m certain we’ll see it in a Forza, but it may not be this one. Or it might be. Only T10 knows.
There’s a hundred different possible reasons why the Chiron is not in any of the Forza games yet. Until someone at T10/PG actually comes out with an official statement as to why this car in particular has not been seen yet … all we can do is guess as to the reason. And my guess … especially based on past experience with T10/PG … they’re not going to tell us why they’re doing or not doing anything.
Another irritating thing is that the Chiron is mentioned by the Hospital Records DJs while you’re in the game … How that got through QA is remarkable. You’re supposed to set customer expectations and not over promise and under deliver.
A €2.5M car with an undisclosed top speed limited to a production run of 500. Been on sale for close to 18 months but hasn’t even reached half of the 500 units sold.
Its competitors manage to sell out in a matter of days.
I think the VW management really can’t take any chances in handing the car over to the gaming industry. It’s already been a flop in relative terms and if it doesn’t manage to stack up in a game that would be rubbing salt into the wound.
Lesson to be learned. Don’t make a car where top speed is the principal objective - just make a great car. Anything wearing the Bugatti badge unfortunately has become a one trick pony and if Bugatti refuse to demonstrate the “trick” what are you left with? It sure ain’t a looker.
I’m sorry it’s not in the game as of now buddy, BUT, what you can do is photoshop your own image of the car you wish to be in horizon. That’s what I did. I’ve done it to Veilside rx-7, Chiron, 2011 Porsche 911 speedster and it satisfies me. I understand that not all of our cars can make it’s way but they do have a very good car list even without VW or RUF or the cars we want.
