The sound on this car is quite compressed and low quality. Instead of a dynamic and organic sounding engine, I’m hearing the engine sound as if it’s stuck in some kind of loop generated through a synthesizer. This is especially noticeable while accelerating, particularly with full upgrades applied. Hard to miss. It’s essentially the same issue as the modern McLaren supercars: compressed and flat sounds with little dynamic range and proper loudness and impact.
If I go back to the old Lexus LFA sound, this car has the exact same issue. It sounds weird when revving and redlining… Puts me to sleep. Like I said, droney, robotic, and loopy.
It’s too droney and loopy, doesn’t sound real, organic and dynamic enough. Also, the cockpit sound is quiet, hollow, and flat.
Consider updating this too please! Needs to have proper dynamic range and volume levels.
Still needs improvement, sorry. Seemed like a half hearted attempt in the previous update.
I’ve been using this car in the Open FOMO event and noticed that it’s really quiet, in fact the engine can hardly be heard. Even changing the audio options to emphasise it leaves it sounding almost like an EV. What’s strange is that I’ve used it before in previous Open FOMO events and didn’t notice it, so has something happened in recent updates?
They have actually ended up messing up the sound further it seems. I also do not remember it being this quiet. Now it’s even quieter in all the first person views. What a sad state of affairs.
I don’t think the team even bothers to test the updated sounds on a proper digital surround sound system.
It’s way to quiet and you can’t tell when to shift. This is unacceptable. They’ve done the same with the Integra Type R and call it an “updated car sound”.
