I am playing on a 21:9 3440x1440 ultra wide monitor and I would LOVE to use the dashboard cameras, however these are limited to 55 FOV which is incredibly low. I feel forced to use the hood camera which can go up to 70 FOV.
I would like to suggest allowing more range in the FOV so that I can finally use the onboard cameras with the sweet in-car audio effects.
Currently:
External camera max 65 FOV
Onboard camera max 55 FOV
Hood camera max 70 FOV
Bumper camera max 70 FOV
Please bring all of these in line and allow at least 70 vertical FOV for all cameras. I don’t care if there might be some geo clipping (which I don’t expect to be honest).
XBox version has no FoV adjustment at all. I would love a lower FoV than 40 for cockpit with seat adjustment, and actual triple screen support (instead of nvidia surround). Not holding my breath and at least grateful I can adjust FoV at all.
Most games these days (including Forza) use vertical FOV because some people have wider monitors than others. Using vertical FOV means the differences are tied to the vertical axis which is more identical between people and thus 70 FOV would give a 16:9 monitor about the same compared FOV as a 21:9 monitor would (while of course the 21:9 will see more because it is wider).
Yep, I can imagine some people would also like lower than 40 for multi screen setups.
Yes Please! That would be awesome, I’m having trouble since I have a disorder with my eyesight which is actually too bad. The default FOV in some cars is way too close to the windshield. It’s perfect in some Cars: Ferrari Monza, Oldsmobile Toronado, Porsche Speedster, Mustang SVO.
I need to be have a better sight about my surroundings. Please Hopefully you will get that message, in France we have a big community, our own forum in French and we almost all want the fov sliders for Xbox.
FH5 needs a little more dynamic resolution so that way things like FOV sliders can be added. Increase the FOV, slightly lower the rendering resolution to account for any frame dips.
Many of us do not use 60fps Performance Mode because of all the detail that is lost to maintain 60fps.
I don’t care about a “rock solid 4k resolution” when half my plants are missing and the lighting/post processing is scaled back.
I’d like to suggest for camera settings in the game to be expanded. Currently, it is possible to change the FOV of the cameras for Far, Close, Cockpit, Bumper, and other cameras.
With both Far and Close Cameras, higher FOV means the camera is further away from the car during driving.
It would be great to add a feature where you can adjust the lateral distance of the close and far cameras from the car. As well as change the vertical height of the camera when driving.
Hi, I love the game but I really don’t like the cockpit view because the highest fov you can have is only 55 which is very low and it just looks like you are sitting in the windshield. Just feels very bad to play like this in my opinion and I really hope that you guys will change this in an update or in the next game
First person camera is too close to the steering wheel and breaks immersion for first person lovers. Please consider higher fov in 1st person for consoles.
Please add adjustable fov to console in a similar manner to how it is on pc this would be an amazing feature as being able to set the fov higher would provide a way more realistic sense of speed especially in the cockpit camera this feature has been something I’ve wanted to be added into Forza for ages it’d be absolutely amazing to see it

As we all know pc players have the option for changing the fov since fh4. On the other hand even you have the most powerful xbox console (the series x) you don’t have the option to change the fov. I don’t belive series x is not capable of supporting this option. If the problem is that fh5 is also available for last gen consoles and developers are not implementing this feature due to uniformity between consoles than it simply doesn’t worth buying the series x in the first place. We paid the top money to utilize power of this console but still being hold back because pg do not bother to use full potential of these machines. We want fov slider on current gen consoles now!
I hope that someday we at the console will be able to adjust the FOV of the cockpit, the small space of the steering wheel and the character is extremely bad, they could put the adjustment, since all other racing games have, except the console Forza
PLEASE!!! Add the ability to increase the FOV higher to atleast 90, its immersion breaking and I can’t play the game like this, its terrible. The code is there, most modern racing games do this, plus seat/camera adjustments. Make a warning that this may cause clipping, and render issues if your concerned console users will complain. Especially after you went and destroyed the modding community recently. We have no option anymore, and I will be looking for this feature before I buy the next Forza game.
