Thanks for that tip, it racks up skill points materially quicker than the Hoonicorn I’d been using with Raceboy77’s drift tune. Having set it up for skill point farming, I tried it on a drift zone, and quickly obliterated my previous best on that zone, which had been done with the Hoonicorn, getting global top 2%, whereas I seemed to generally be stuck at more like top 20-30% with the Hoonicorn. So I’ve shared the tune as “Drift King” if anyone wants to try it.
Yes the barrier will give you that as “Road Closed/Open” or something like that, but that is just for hitting the barrier. Combine it with a Drift (increases with level), Sideswipe (~1960 points in the M6 FE) and if you take out a few you can get Wreckage / Destruction level points too. Each additional item you add to the combo also increases your multiplier - in the M6 FE by x.3 for each element, making drift smashes much more valuable.
If you want to maximise your time on the airstrip, try to only take out individual sections of the barrier, so 10 pieces could give you multiple passes at points, rather than one fun and impressive swipe that takes out the whole lot.
I have a awd tune for the M6 and I just drift in circles around the standing stones area, less things to hit and break the combo. If anyone wants the tune say so and Ill share it. Hit max capacity skill points fairly quickly with it.
There’s very little in the airstrip area that will end the skill chain, and with the angel perk you can always bank the chain on the rare occasions you mess it up.
I’ve just spent 30 mins getting skill points as fast as I could at the airstrip with the M6 FE. I got 184 skill points in 30 mins, 1 skill song played in that time. I used the technique of going into the drag race and back out to start the next chain sooner each time. I got 4 wheelspins directly from racking up those skill points, obviously there’d be more from spending them.
I use the Express Rail Yard. There is a long gravel pile. You can toss the Renault FE over the lump and it will bottom out giving you crash landing almost every time. Side swipe the fences and landscaping for landing on a bush. One side is cement and the other is dirt so with a S class tune you can keep it going easily. Also have never flipped the Renault.
Any offroad or extreme offroad vehicle have a 7x or higher multiplier?
I haven’t gotten the Renault 5 FE, yet. But, I did get lucky on a wheelspin and got a Ferrari Dino. It’s got +50% influence from skills in freeroam, up to 7x multiplier, 3x-boosted multiplier, and the skill song boost.
You can accidentally & easily get 150k points. 3-4 minutes and you can easily get 10 skill points in free roam. I have been trying to find some other cars with the same skills: Exceptional Handling, Ultimate Thrill, Skill Legend, Timeless Design and Custom Sound System.
I am wondering which car is the fastest to rack up skill points? I have a Renault 5 Turbo FE (with all the perks applied) that I normally use which racks them up pretty fast, especially during skill songs. Is there a car that is even better than that?
There’s a Forza Edition BMW that has a drifts skills boost, and the same perks as the Renault. I’ve heard drifters like it, and I’ve messed with it a bit. I tend to prefer the Renault myself.
These cars have the 7x skill perk you can unlock (I don’t own all 10M+ legendary cars yet, so there are probably more):

All I know is that if I’m listening to timeless and get the 8 minute long skill song while in a chain as the announcer mentions it I have gotten 8x max 500k @10× in the Renault 5FE, more then once. 80 skill points in one song just did it again tonight.
I have tried the following with various tunes/upgrades:

All have Skill Multiplier 7, Skill Multiplier increases 3 times faster, Skill Multiplier builds faster during skill songs and Skill Chains end 1 second later.
It may depend on what location you prefer and your preferred method of building skill chains. I use a location which has open fields for ultimate drifts, fences, walls and young saplings for wreckage, landscaping and sideswipes and a railway line for air, ebisu, kangaroo and crash landing. It can be used at night and during all seasons.
My own preference is still a 1980 Renault 5 Turbo Forza Edition with an S2 951 tune/upgrade. Usually my skills build up too fast for the game to keep up with and because of the drifting and saplings my chains never break. I have unlocked skill perks on all the cars in my garage.
It’s been mentioned before but Milouse at Kudosprime maintains a database which is good for checking out which cars have which perks:
Clicking on the space marked “List cars having the exact same Car Mastery grid (non-exhaustive)” brings up a list of cars with identical perks to the Renault.
Ok, so I did a little experiment with both the Renault 5 Turbo FE and the Hoonigan Focus. My vote is for the Renault. The bonuses for things like landscaping, sideswipe, crash landing, etc… is higher on the Renault than the Focus, and in my experience, the chains build faster with the Renault. Just my two cents…
Edit: I was able to get almost 500 skill points in an hour with the Renault in the quarry. I like the quarry a little better than I do the beach since there’s less chance of flipping the car and losing your streak there.
Have you not tried the “2013 BMW M6 Coupe FE” using DJS’s tune on the airstrip?
It’s the only car I’ve used in the last 3 months after seeing DJS skill point farming video and have racked up a total of over 21,000 skill points over that time.
The “2013 BMW M6 Coupe FE” really is a thing of beauty for racking up skill point and you can quite easily rack up 10 skill points in less than 1:30 and a lot quicker when a “Skill Song” is playing.
You can even get 10 skill point in around a minute if you are really good!
Just tried it an timed it and on a good run, you I can get 10 skill points in just under a minute.
Quite possible to rack up 600+ in an hour and very little chance of hitting anything when you work out a good route.
I got fed up of trying the beach and quarry as I had a habit of flipping any car I used every now and then and losing my skill chain especially bad when on 50,000+ points.
I do have the M6 FE. I used it for a while, especially doing 50 laps of the Greendale Club Circuit that you can drift around just about all but the straightaway, but I kinda like the jumps/drifts/wreckage that I can do at the beach and quarry with the Renault Turbo. It helps break the monotony of grinding points IMO.
As to the Peel P50… I have not thought about that at all. I am going to have to try that.
