Bah. McLaren 12C didn't get the right sound. :/

It jus sounds like the 650S and that’s wrong. It should sound closer to the P1. McLaren had different exhaust setups back then. For shame.

You should hear the DBS. Sounds like the V8 vantage, and not the 5.9L V12 it’s suppose to have

Yeah i do agree that Turn 10 studios can work on the sound design A LOT more however it actually does sound like a P1 with a custom exhaust. Personally I think it sounds to generic once fitted with a custom exhaust and I still don’t like it, however it definitely does actually sound like a P1.

Surprised I haven’t seen more people complaining about that. Everyone was upset about the new Z06, but at least it had the correct number of cylinders. This is completely wrong, up there with what they did to the vipers in FH4.

Just curious - how is that you know so well what a McLaren 12C sounds like in real life. Do you own one?

Plenty of youtube vids bud.

which are probably taken on the most HQ of audio devices

a tiny microphone, embedded in a plastic/metal chassis

Some yes, but there’s the binaural recordings that are quite good. And others that have been recorded from the outside that, while not be 100% neutral, still give a really good idea of what the car is supposed to sound like.

Perhaps a YouTube video, or maybe they saw one at a car show or out on the streets?

It’s not that bad. The wife and I are watching a rerun of Nash Bridges. And his HEMI Cuda sounds more like a V6 than a HEMI anything. So Forza isn’t alone when it comes to blowing the car sounds.

thats most microphones on the market, including decent ones too. Regardless FH5 MP4-12C sounds nothing like it should in FH4

I found there was a V12 Swap you could do that makes it sound sort of like how it should, I think it’s the 7.0L V12, Which originates from the Vulcan, the downside is that it takes it to S Class and gives it a additional 200HP, Which makes it difficult to drive.

Yeah, it doesnt sound close. A coworker used to have one. I was looking forward to it … disappointing.
