AWD Build Question

Hello folks! I am seeking advice on building some competitive AWD cars. In past versions of Forza, the AWD used to be king of the track and over the last couple of versions, an attempt has been made to level the playing field. Since then, I can’t for the life of me figure out the best combination of parts to put on to help these cars keep up! Can anyone help? I have tried several different things such as more tire less power, but always get walked away from. Then I tried more power less tire (ex. B-class AWD usually sits at a 5.0 or 5.1 handling rating), and it doesn’t corner very well. I’ve even gone the route of only applying parts that lighten the car, but still don’t get the right combination of tire and power. This is definitely tougher to accomplish now than it used to be.

I am also struggling with the FWD cars as well (but then again, I’ve always lacked in skill in that department).

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance guys/gals!

To be honest mate there aren’t a huge amount of power circuits out there in this version. You’ll set a faster time if you’re able to maintain the grip levels than you can with horsepower. Try the R34 out top of its class, it’s got more than enough grip as standard for B class so you can screw some more power out of it. Add some adjustable wings and you should have a race winner.

I can’t say that I know at all what I’m doing, but when ever I build something all wheel drive, I always buy the differential and set it to at least 75% to the rear, sometimes 80 and then tune like RWD. Again, NOT an expert!!

Try run 23/0 front 34/56 rear lock with a 40/60 split

How I usually do it,

Build

Platform / Handling = All race, except rollcage
widest possible tires on stock compound
Cram as much power in as possible, use centrifugal Supercharger if possible, possibly lose 1 tirewidth from front, if you have enough room to play
Stock gearing is usually good enough, street transmission if it isn’t, if you are ending up with ridiculously short gearing camshaft is an option.

Base tune,
Camber around -2.3/-1.8 F/R
Soft bump, (2.5 -1.8 range) stiff rebound (9.5 - 10.3 range)
Aero depending on tire width / power (speed track / handling track)
Differential
Front 70/0 Rear 80/10 Mid Adjust between 50-65

Driving style, brake straight, start turning, and soon as the car starts really turning, throttle as much as it can take without losing grip,

Fine tune.
