FWD converted to AWD

Hey all,

I’m just looking for some tips and advice regarding converting a FWD car to AWD. I’ve found majority of the time it will make a car very unstable whilst cornering. I’ve tried some of the usual things to try and reduce oversteer but I still seem to end up with a car that I’m not fully happy with. I was just wondering if there were any tricks others use, regarding tuning when doing one of these conversions? Or is this just a common trait that is generally difficult to tune out of the car?

Cheers guys.

Differential settings if power oversteer. Try softening front springs a little. Sway bars/anti roll bars if they are too loose you’ll get oversteer in general. Downforce can always help. Personally I keep FWD as such. Only challenging thing left in games but I’ve always wondered about this concept. I doubt you have much rear camber but that could be an issue as well. If you have oversteer of off the gas try setting your deceleration differential setting up a little. What car might I ask? Or in general? Maybe try a little less power? Tire width ?

Do you have a specific example at hand? If you post the car and build I can support you with the tune.

Having the same problem with my focus RS 2009. Also tried solving it, without success though… Really hope someone can help

Have you try to less power in back wheels? stock setup with 65% at back is just way too mutch many fwd cars. Chancing balance somewhere in 50-55% should help allready a lot.

Tried that now as well, and still didn’t really help much

Ford Focus has always been an issue. It seems that its more difficult to get an AWD swapped Ford Focus perfect in Forza than any other car.

Again please post the specific build and you will get help.

You don’t really need their build.

Try and come up with the best AWD swapped Ford Focus you can get and then judge if you think it matches any other cars you have done the same to.
