I use the narrator in game, and when I have pitted during a practice, or in races, outside of one occasion, where it said it for a brief second, and it wouldn’t do it again, it doesn’t read the tire compounds when selecting what tires to put on while in pits. Just reads the telemetry information that goes with each one as you go down the menu but it doesn’t actually say what tire compound you are over top of/about to select. In the pre race menus, it works fine, it’s only while in pits during a live practice or race.
The voice-over audio isn’t playing. I can see the subtitles, and I notice the small speaker icon in the bottom left corner when there should be voice dialogue, but there is no audio playing.
I don’t have any other audio issues; the music and car audio are working correctly. I can even hear other players’ voices in multiplayer lobbies, but the in-game voice-over isn’t coming through.

I had the same problem but only with 7.1 headphones. I then switched them to stereo and could hear the voices again. I hope that I could help.

Exact same issue. No problem using for example the sound on my screen but using the logitech G933 headphone there is no voice in the game or the narrator (quick way to check if the bug persist). It seems related to the fact windows detect it as 7.1 device and how the game manage the chanels.
For example, forcing window with the mono audio mode (accessibility settings) the voice are ok in the game (but mono audio…).
Unfortunatly I have no option to force the stereo 
!

As other mentioned disabling the 7.1 on my headset fixed the issue (I have Logitech G Pro X), but now the sound is crap…

I had the same issue but sorted it now and it’s working on my speakers properly. I went into the settings and enabled spatial sound and turned of audio enhancements in the computer control panel.

Same problem Here with Logitech Headphone. Italian language and same problem with dolby OFF. I hope fix it soon
I looked all over and can’t seem to figure out what i am missing. I’m missing audio when new career tab is being introduced and when i pass over the start finish line you can tell something is being said, but it’s muted out. Hope that makes sense. Thank you.
I have the same problem and it seems to extend to the voice chat in multiplayer also. I have no way to force my headset to stereo, so cannot fix it unless I want horrible quality mono sound through the Windows accessibility settings.

it persist, logitech g635 here… played until now on xbox, switched to pc today and noticed this issue
