Audi RS4 Avant

I’ve seen them in Drivatars and AI cars so…

This really sucks. I to have received my $10 (spent it on the VIP pack) but still no word on the RS4 code. I loved this car in FH1 so when I saw that I could get it on FH2, I had to get it. I normally buy my pre orders through my local bestbuy or Amazon but I had no choice. I want to complain but it sounds like I’ll get no where fast.

What happened to putting pre order codes on little cards in the game instead of this email bullspit

@MicrosoftStore responded to my tweet about the issue and asked me to follow them on twitter so I could send a Direct Message to them about the issue, which I did. Here’s there response:

I suggest everyone email as instructed, whether you have a case number or not.

thanks - i gave it a shot - here’s the format I used and I also included the screenshot showing the pre-order bonus from earlier in this thread.

I was told to contact this email concerning on-going issues with an order placed with the Microsoft online store.

I have received the main game - XBOX ONE FORZA HORIZON 2 on Sep 29, but I have not received the two pre-order bonuses.

just wanted to report back that i actually got a call back using this method in a few hours! she is going to re-send the $10 code which i never got. She tried to pawn me off to xbox support for the DLC because that’s an “in-game” issue, but i carefully described how i had already talked to them and what was missing was a code that i would enter into the xbox store which would then release the car in-game. she seemed to understand this and said she would investigate further

Just to throw this out there, but there will probably be a car-pack with the RS4 in it later, correct?

There’s a chance towards the end of the car packs but sometimes they don’t release all the pre order cars. Regardless I don’t want to pay for a car I should have already gotten for free

Yeah, for sure. I didn’t even know this promotion was happening. But since it seems like nobody got their Avant, I might as well wait 'er out.

Well I got a call from a MS rep today, I missed the call as my phone was in the other room. But they also sent an email saying they understand I did not receive a preorder bonus for the game I ordered and it would take 48 hours to generate a code for me. The person never called it an ingame item of the $10 credit, so I made sure to reiterate in my email that it was not for the $10 credit but for the ingame item and sent the pic of their site and the link to the microsoft store blog post about the car. We will see what happens and I will keep people informed about how it works out for me.

When I emailed I pointed out that everyone on the forum was in the same boat, because I wanted a full solution not just for me. They called me with a case number this afternoon in response and referenced that comment, and asked me to ask everyone to make sure you send in your details. The word was that the issue is being investigated, but they did acknowledge that something went wrong, so I’m at least a little hopeful that we’ll find out something.

Max, I thought of something today that might help solve the issue. The ad said you must pre-order before 9/26/2014.

Looking back at my bank statement and my microsoft transactions through their commerce website, their was a series of charges, and then deposits made to my account, which make it appear as if I purchased the game at a date after the promotional offer expired. The following is from my Microsoft Transactions with sensitive data omitted.

This seems to be some sort of billing issue, situation, on their end and may have confused the system into thinking the game was not purchased before the cut off date for the promotion. I suggest checking your Microsoft Commerce transactions page and see if you find anything similar. This may be what is contributing to the confusion.

Also, phREDESIGN messaged me asking for my location, and my purchase location, so I gave it to him. We’ll see what happens next.

That’s possible. The Purchase Date on my packing slip correctly indicates 9/24 but my card wasn’t charged until 9/28.

It should go by order date, not charge date. So if that’s really the problem, it’s kind of silly. I haven’t encountered issues like this before but it should be a fairly simple fix if so.

Yeah it goes by when you preordered the game, not when you were charged. They don’t charge anyone until the game is ready to ship

I got a phone call and email from a MS rep. Nice guy but really didn’t help. Said he was also dealing with 3 other cases with the same issue and basically told me that I need to contact Xbox support because its their fault and i was like no its your fault as well as plenty of people have already contacted them with Xbox pointing at you guys. So I said I guess this is going to be a he said she said type deal where I’m supposed to run in circles over a piece of digital content. He didnt have an answer, just told me he would be contacting me again. So yep, still getting nowhere.

Just got a call saying I’ll be reimbursed the $10, which I made very clear every time I’ve talked to them , that I received it, and they’re emailing the Audi code.

Got call at dinnertime. I will be emailed code by rep by Tuesday

On the pone with a representative from Xbox now.

Microsoft Store Escalations sent me another $10 code, and told me I must go through Xbox Support.

Xbox Support attempted to escalate the issue for the Audi RS4 Avant, and discovered that the car isn’t supposed to come until 4 to 6 weeks after delivery of the game. They told me they attempted to escalate the case and Xbox Escalation Support told them they cannot escalate the issue until 6 weeks after launch. Basically, the lady told me not to expect the car until halfway through November - basically Assassin’s Creed will come out before we should expect the code.

I don’t even know what to think anymore. The lady was polite, knowledgeable (unlike MS Store support), and helpful but this whole situation is ridiculous. You’d think Microsoft would have their act together.

Glad to hear some sort of resolution has been reached, even if it is a frustratingly far-off resolution.

I know that Microsoft are moving in a certain direction, but it really was simpler when it was physical games and scratch cards.

It was a scratch card or printed on the receipt at Gamestop, amazon, Best buy, and Walmart so - I don’t know why Microsoft seems to be having such a hard time. They create the codes.
