Ms store sent me a forza horizon 2 “access code”. Kinda seems like by the wording its a code for the game but I’ll find that out when I get home later on. Hopefully this has finally be reaolved
Guys - the impossible has just happened - after emailing the info mentioned earlier - today I received the promo code for the Audi (as well as the $10 gift card). Thanks to everyone for this thread.
I just received 2 access codes via email! I never contacted CS, just waited it out.
Damnit, they sent me 2 Audi Avant codes. still no $10 code
Yep, I got a call about an hour ago saying they were still working on it and then received the code by email shortly after.
I’m not a fan of limited number or time-limited access to game content but since I’m a completionist I’ll still go after pre-order bonuses, even from Microsoft, even after this annoying experience. I think the lesson learned is to get them on the hook early and in writing so we at least know what to expect, via twitter, saved chats, saved screenshots, emails, and case numbers.
When the offer is first made:
Do you have the codes on hand now, or are you expecting to receive them around release?
What is the exact deadline to be eligible for the bonus?
How long will it take to receive the code 1) after ordering, and 2) after release? Time of day or number of days?
If I don’t receive the code in by the time stated, will you accept return of the game or provide refund/compensation?
etc, and repeated at the time the order is made.

Just closing the loop, I too finally just received by RS4 code via email. $10 code received a week ago perhaps.
Got my Audi code at 8:01 this morning PST. faith in ms restored
Recieved a code as well today. Still wont order with them again just as I wont order from Best Buy after the FM4 LCE online order cancellations last minute.
I too got my RS4 code today titled as “Here’s your promo code for Forza Horizon 2 access.” I was hoping for a free copy of FH2 
So that’s 10 business days to get the $10 code, and 15 business days to get the pre-order content code (and I contacted customer support on the 11th business day, 2 calendar weeks after it shipped). I wonder if us contacting them got it done, or if they were just slow?
Anyway, as others have mentioned, some faith restored in the MS Store so I’ll keep my Sunset Overdrive pre-order now and see how that turns out.
I emailed support@microsoft.com the other day, never heard back from them like I did when I emailed them when I pre ordered watchdogs from them, I too received my audi rs4 code today. I’m glad they followed thought but it should have been sent with the $10 xbox gift card.
They also need to clearly state that it will take ten days to receive the bonus stuff after the games come out
To those who got the extra codes jsut sell em on ebay. The Audi is by far the rarest car and will prob go for like 20 buxks.
In all fairness they said in the email that the $10 code would take up to 10 business days from release, though nothing about the DLC code.
So it seems like my code was also sent to someone else as their 2nd code. That would explain why my code was already used. Microsoft Store phone support was no help. They say they have no record of the Audi RS4 promo’s existence. I’ll have to call in to escalate it tomorrow.
I also received two and just used mine and gave the second to a friend because I didn’t want to wait and see if something like this would happen. But really, having to go through all of this hassle and then receive an invalid code? That seriously sucks. You really should make some major complaints the next time you get ahold of someone. Perhaps send this information to the address ManteoMax gave us (along with everything else it says). I’ve found that if you can get through the CSR hurdles at the lower levels you usually get awesome support if you can reach someone in a higher position.
I just got an email from Microsoft Store today that just says “Here’s your promo code for Forza Horizon 2 access.” Presumably, it’s the Audi RS 4, but the code’s already been used. Are they sending out duplicate codes to people?
I also received a code for the Audi Rs4 Avant today. What’s unfortunate is the code they e-mailed me for the $10 has only 15 characters and is invalid - I hope they e-mail me back soon with a working code or the last ten characters.
if it’s short 10 characters, it might be a promo code for the Microsoft online store. Put a $10 xbox live gift card in your cart and type in the code in the promo code section in checkout and see if it brings the total down to $0. One of the MS support guys emailed me with a $20 code that didn’t work in the xbox live store until I tried it in the MS online store.

i called Microsoft on this issue. then they told me to call the store. i called the store and they told me it was printed on my receipt. they keep sending me in circles
I preordered the game and believe that I should get a rs4 avant but didnt!
