This auction is terrible.
The search function is hard to use because the models are in random orders and you can’t search for something simple like, “Focus”. You have to search for the exact model. If I then want to change from the 2013 to the 2017 model I have to redo the full search. Not very convenient.
I do not understand the auction definition of “Nearly Complete”, or whatever that message is. I see it count down the minutes and when that message appears I know that it can be at that stage for minutes, as in plural. It will sit there and then I finally get outbid, I do not begrudge that part since it happens. Does the time then reset and does it continue on?
Why does does the auction horde my money? If I get outbid and do not want o bid again why does the action get to hold my credits until then end of the of the auction, which might be hours away? I understand why I have to pay when I bid but I should get it back sooner.
I would also love a note next to the message that have my credits within, I had half a million credits sitting in messages without realizing it, did not know I had to open each message to see if there were credits within and reclaim them.
Auction is annoying to use and not fun to use. The whole auction aspect is fun though… people should put reasonable buy outs since since the cars are never selling for that and all in bids.
My sentiments exactly. I have monitored my bids every time, and when it says “1 minute left” it really lasts several minutes. Sometimes it even goes from 1 minute to Ending soon, then back to 1 minute, over 5 minutes of what?
Also sucks that your money is locked in until the auction is over. It says you should be able to retrieve it by going to My Auctions, but that’s not true
Every time somebody bids during the “ends soon” part the time is raised back up to 1 minute for everyone being able to react.
Glad to hear its not a bug, but still just makes it difficult to score on the buying side.

There are a bunch of other ways they can vet auction house listings other than penalizing EVERYONE by deciding how much each car is worth, which absolutely defeats the purpose of an auction house.
They Could have had a system where if you tried to list a car for a certain amount in buyout, it would go through an automated algorithm to check if its a legitimate listing.

Yes you can alter the car. I did the full Buy Out option by the way.
I have purchased via the AH Sandman Panel vans, Meyers Manx, Torano & a Holden Monaro and they have all been altered with in game parts and Hot Rod kits the sprayed my colours. It cost a lot of in game Credits but they look good and very different to the originals.
Check with the originals that you already have what kits can/cannot be used to make the Hot Rod versions, etc…

The paint or decal job alerting, never tried as mine came standard and I thought that they were locked…BUT…with the Full Buy Out you can alter the cars with the various kits that are available in the garage.
I just don’t think people should be able to auction cars with other peoples liveries or tunes. If so then the tuner/painter should receive all money.
They still get paid because to get the paint you have to download it to have it on the car. And credit for the design is given as well. Also every painter can now sell their creations with the Forza 6 model or just sell cars instead and make money that way.

Probably as part of a package of tweaks they have made to minimise auction house cheating which is why it disappeared for a few games.
We should probably be happy it is back and learn the new ways of the auction house.
PS any idea how many auctions is the limit?

I just sold a lambo for 4.4 but lost 600k when collecting funds. What is the percentage the house takes as I wasn’t aware there was one.

Whats the point of the auction house? If it takes a minute to open the bid screen after you’ve been outbid only to find out the auction has ended… It’s still early days but this needs fixing asap. A quicker bidding system where you don’t have to have a loading screen to bid will help.
