Ariel Nomad spec... uhhh

First off, I can see why this gem was stashed away in the last possible event grouping (forza drivers cup)… If this was an opening race series this game could tank on the back of this 1 series alone…

The car. It cannot be called a car, cars have wheels, this thing acted like it had 4 wheel sized balls placed randomly under the chassis. It was pure RNG as to what would happen when a corner came into play, it might turn, it might turn a bit, it might not turn at all, it may refuse to turn so badly that the player releases the stick for a second to see if something wrong only to suddenly have it fly off in the opposite direction. Like as if it was saving all the intended turn then dumping it into ???. Then theres the unbelievable tendancy of this… “car” to start crabbing, literally again not wheels, just balls placed under there somewhere. This “car” has the handling qualities of a helicopter with the tail rotor blown off.

The tracks… ok i guess, all of them let down by the uselessness of the car.

The drivatars… WAY too many drivatars for such a bad car. The last race, 6 laps on the rio mountain… open wheel “car” with extremely bad driving characteristics, barely any room for side by side, the insanely unsporting drivatars… controller killer lol

I even had the bright idea of trying to download a tune to make the thing tolerable but of course none of the tunes would download they all failed.

hands down the WORST experience of the single player game. And seeing as I have only the supercar renaissance and 2 open series left in the entire single player game… I suspect its going to hold that title.

Yes it almost holds First place don’t worry there is one that is way worse and it is a F1 car the Birth of F1 I think made the Aerial a dream to drive once you did a backwards tune on it the Aerial was quite nice I think I still have that Tune shared took ages to get it some what driveable What is a lot more than I can say for them death machines called early F1 cars :persevere::persevere::persevere::confounded::sob::scream::dizzy_face::scream:

I’ll tell you something interesting, I actually anticipated certain series to be hard but mostly cause it was the super exotic powerhouse cars, the mega HP monsters with no weight and rear wheel drive but once i became a bit softer on the throttle exiting corners they became drivable if challenging. The nomad was a lost cause from the get go and i didnt see it coming, not even the stadium trucks was this bad (and i do remember getting a bit frustrated there lol).

I tried to tune it a bit but im not a skilled tuner and for some reason the game did not let me download tunes so i could only make the slightest alterations. I did actually manage to eliminate most of the crazy steering problems but there was no saving grace for the rio race, it was not controllable enough for that one to be enjoyable in any capacity. That was an absolute nightmare, worst 6 laps ever lol

LOL yea bit of a coin toss on whether or not the Nomad will go in the direction you want it to. That series was the only time I’ve ever touched it. :joy:
