I am worried it could make things worse since I didn’t have the best of luck with the last one.
Won’t get to update my PC until very late tonight, or tomorrow morning. I’m also worried, because I’ve had no issues so far, so every patch is game of Russian Roulette…
okay, I will download it now since I have been running laps in AC for days waiting and figure what could possibly go wrong anyway. Somebody has to take one for the team and it looks fairly substantial so fingers crossed there will be at least some fixes in the mix.

How did you initiate the update?
Open the Microsoft store app->find the game from the store or from your software products (games)->click → there should be a button for updates
or
open Xbox app → click on FM 7 picture → there should be button that is called something “show in store” → click → there should be a button for updates
For me it started to download the whole game again 90+ GB. MS Store is such a disaster.
Is there a new update? All I can see is the last update from 10/27? Any link to release notes?
Go to windows store and choose download and updates then > Get Updates it should show up. Looks like huge DL too

Updated. Went straight to the AH picked up the Ford Falcon XY GTHO that I missed in the DS previously and was ticked off about, also another car for its paint job > 4 laps of Bathurst to pay for the Ford:-) Seemed pretty smooth to me and I thought the loading time was a little quicker. Checked out the DLC cars and menu appear a bit more responsive. Time will tell with more races regarding CTD’s but from where I was at with it all I did not go backward by the looks of it.
Update done on my PC, I don’t have time to try it but I’ve made a benchmark and the minimum fps is worse than before update (59.6 before → 56.2 after).
I can confirm its safe to download . Game is vastly improved in performance for me , less stutter in the menus no crashes (so far) , and cpu and ram usage are alot better than before .
Its a great patch go ahead and download .
Much better for me personally, where before patch I would CTD every few races in MP. Have gotten disconnected from lobby once or twice, but seems more rare now.
edit: After some more testing in sp/mp, I get track elements disappearing with Ultra settings on a gtx980. Turn it back to Recommended render settings with Custom dynamic settings. All custom settings are set to dynamic, except i’ll set 60fps w/v-sync or else I’ll get micro-stuttering even with solid 60fps shown on the new fps counter, probably just my old monitor. Have gotten only 1 CTD so far with hours of use, but that was with the before mentioned Ultra settings.
The game runs smoother, seems like the stuttering has been cleared up. The slow loading due to affinity of CPU0 is fixed too.
