These events annoy me because drifting doesn’t help your racing posture. It slows you down and causes you to take turns sloppily so whenever you drift, you waste time you could be using to catch up or widen the gap. Since part of a three-star rating comes from coming in first and completing the track-specific challenge, I feel like these two things work against each other. The opponents are too challenging to focus on trying to earn drift skills while pushing for a win.
For challenges like those i use the Ford RS200 or the RJ Anderson Trophy Truck, because they both slide around normally. If you just overdrive the corners a little bit and pull a bit of a slide you get the points/drift skills needed.
And for lower-class racing the Sunbeam Tiger is really good. (and winning in D-Class is easier then winning in S1, for me at least)
