[ANSWERED] [PC] Can't connect to Horizon Life (DNS error)

I can’t decide if you are trying to help or you were thrown to the wolves with a template answer.

Your support page has been multiple times stated to not solve the problem of most people here. It also doesn’t seem to be an individual enough issue to warrant a ticket either, if all the ticket does it to redirect people to these same steps.

I know that it’s a lot of pressure, but this is not a good look.

Maybe someone should make a ticket “Unable to play Forza Horizon 4 online with Windows 10. Please duplicate this ticket 5,000 times”.

sigh Taking the quick and easy way out rather than help us eh?

Don’t change it to answered when its not answered. Linking to an article that has been posted in this forum for 3 days and hasnt helped anyone doesnt count as answered.

We need actual answers as to why we paid good money for this game and for a lot of people it isnt working properly.

And i find it funny how you say if none of this works submit a ticket…been there done that. you get a few replies linking the same [Mod Edit - Abbreviated profanity, profanity and profanity that is disguised but still alludes to the words are not permitted - D] articles and then radio silence when you keep replying saying it didnt work it didnt work…what a joke

True,

This isn’t an xbox app connectivity problem, for me it indicates my NAT is open, and no issues whatsoever, but doesn’t connect, FH3 didn’t have a problem, and with mobile data it works fine.
There is something going on with FH4 and I’d like a guide for that, not a generic response.

This post is really important, a generic answer isn’t the solution. Please, we have paid a lot of money for this game, and all we cant’n play online

Well i just done all the steps that you linked us. And it seems like it didn’t fix the problem for me, too. My Settings in the Xbox-App are: NAT-Type: Strict / Serverconnection is Blocked. I think i have to wait for a fix from the developers, same issue i had back when FH3 release on PC. I waited 2-3 weeks and it worked.

Bumping because its still not fixed.

when I saw this had an answered tag I thought the problem had been solved. but no there is no new solution. the solution in the ticket is the first thing I tried 2 days ago and it never worked… this problem has not been solved. maybe staff should actually read the thread again…

I did send a ticket and even after saying I tried everything, I was redirected to their multiplayer troubleshooting page…

Look, i did my home work. I literally found and tried every single option there is out there. I am living in Asia. Is that why there’s a regional issue at the moment? Also, as per above, why is this changed to answered when there is no proper fix?

Only fix for me so far is manually restarting the IP Helper process through services.msc every day. This changes the ‘‘Teredo cannot qualify’’ message to ‘‘Connected’’ and I can successfully join Forza online.

How dare they say this is answered.

I tried literally everything, nothing gives me connection to Horizon Life.
Now I can’t access my message centre and stuff, and I miss the 2 dlc cars.

PLEASE FIX

Yeah having this issue as well and started a ticket and the first thing they told me to do was go that that useless page. bump this because it’s definitely not solved.

CAN WE PLEASE GET A FIX SOON DEVS? This is absolutely unacceptable, all of my friends are having a great time with this game and I can’t enjoy it with them because of this issue. PLEASE, PLEASE fix this already, as you can plainly see no one has been able to fix this; absolutely unacceptable for a AAA game.

All I’m still getting, while wanting to download liveries.

The forza horizon 4 server is not available at this time, Please try later

Nothing else works, please come with a fix

I found yet another fix i did not even know existed

  • Use the Windows Search function to open “Account info privacy settings”
  • Check that “Allow Apps to access your account info” is “ON”
  • under “Choose which Apps can access your account info” enable “Microsoft Content”
  • Restart XBOX App

Yeah didn’t fix it either. You’d think paying £80 for a game would allow me to play with my friends but apparently not.

And they did not manage to fix it with the day one patch, great, early access gone, still can’t play Horizon Life… At least they should refund the part of the price that was the Early Access…
