[ANSWERED] AWD overpowered (again)

On FH4 again AWD is overpowered “its because the map style its because of blah blah blah” I DONT CARE put 50HP AWD x 500HP RWD/FWD if necessary just make RWD/FWD good if RWD/FWD be overpowered ok most AWD drivers play dirt and whit RWD/FWD play dirt make you very slow but not you again made AWD OverPowered i made some tests that AWD end the race 10 seconds faster than RWD before FH3 i ever played very casual but i spend a VERY LONG time just to know how to tune not only how to tune in game but how to tune in real life to use ingame just to beat AWD(RWD/FWD only beat AWD if the guy on AWD be a very casual player or noob) you dont make idea how much time i spend tuning cars to try beat AWD on FH3 and on FH4 i imagined Playground Games fixed this but after talk with a Forza Youtuber “IsuckAtDriving” her said AWD is overpowered again (i dont tuned any AWD before this because of FH3) ok i tuned some AWD cars for test and i made times a lot faster with AWD ALL TIMES FWD/RWD is harder to drive, harder to tune, ridiculosly slow start its too slow that dont make sense i need drag tires?(talking about drag everyone know on real life RWD is amazing on Drag Racing the fastest drag cars are RWD why on Forza RWD is too bad?) ,dont have power/grip to ram other players, dont have power/grip to use wallride if you make mistakes with FWD/RWD is hard to recover if someone ram you YOU lost the race just why you make AWD overpowered if RWD/FWD is very sensible to everything another day playing ranked with my FWD Golf class A and a AWD mustang braked while im looking back i hit that mustang at full speed my rear wheels left the ground what happened whit the AWD mustang? NOTHING im not kidding its like nothing happened i used the quick chat to say sorry but im sure he dont know what happened, im sure a lot of people will say AWD is not Overpowered ok lets race i show for you, since FH3 EVERYTIME i said AWD is overpowered a noob that never made a online race or that download AWD tunes of others players said “AWD is not overpowered” but if i say lets race he just stay quiet and ignore look the size of this text you think im kidding? i hate need to make AWD swap in cool cars because is a disrespect whit the car, AWD on a Ferrari Enzo??? you should go to jail for that(obviously is just a joke but is really a disrespect with the car), why most “PRO” players dont talk about this? Because AWD is easy to drive if P.G. change this and make RWD/FWD overpowered pro players will need to use RWD/FWD and RWD/FWD is harder to drive and its sensible, PLEASE FIX THIS, i LOVE this game is arcade but i can tune everything on the car like a simulator i love this because whatever if every player pick the same car everyone is different because her personal style of tuning(except people that download tune) but in not kidding if this don’t be fixed i will never buy a Forza Horizon again this is broklen since ever in Forza Horizon dont have someone on P.G. to test this? OMG look the size of this sorry but for me this the biggest ever problem on a racing game.

And still waiting… If want i play with a developer or i send pictures videos showing how AWD is overpowerd and i forgot to say with AWD you can install rally tires to lower performance points and still fast

Literally the phisics dont make any sense AWD is completely arcade but RWD/FWD its realistic why? To be honest RWD as less grip on FH3 and FH4 than on FM7 i tuned BMW M3 2005 on FH3 FH4 FM7 with everything on max with widebody and on FM7 as better grip (on FM7 i have full control of the car and on FH4 the car want to be a bayblade) this game hate RWD/FWD? Or completely love AWD that made it overpowered? On FH3 AWD is overpowered because grip now on FH4 is overpowered because grip and performance points too (good job whats next RWD/FWD as a penalty that make it never overtake the AWD or somenthing like this?)

Have you been tuning your suspension?.. FM7 setups are more balanced by default than FH4. Both games are extremely sensitive to spring balance.

Most of the issue after proper tuning is simply in the gamepad steering. It was at it’s best 2 patches ago IMO, took steps back the last 2 revisions. Maybe they’ll figure it out eventually.

Also the PI system is not biasing mid-low speed accel as much as it should. It varies per track, too, so striking a balance across all possible scenarios is not easy.

Yes i know how to tune i even made top 50 on some rivals of FH3 (be fast on rivals don’t make you fast on online races because the big advantage that AWD as on start of race) and on FH3 the physics of RWD and FWD is even more ridiculous but i never made this “drama” about because i imagined is something that will be fixed on FH4 but FH4 as launched and the problem is here too, the big problem is the PI On AWD cars race spoilers and big rear tire lower PI what don’t make any sense even FWD race spoiler help handling, and AWD swap lower PI if don’t lowered install a spoiler and big rear tire and the PI is lower than RWD, look zonda cinque S2 908 with RWD And S1 900 with AWD swap, AWD as big advantage on start of race and run on low handling without problems on FH3 my evo x as S1 as only 7.2 handling and beat my 570s with 7.5 handling on every situation on FH4 i started to hate AWD and don’t tested how low handling i can run AWD with fear of be worst than looks

This issue is Technical or Gameplay? Affect gameplay but the problem is the system that calculate performance of cars(not the full problem but i think to fix the phisics is necessary make a new from zero and this is not a option is more simple just lower performance points of RWD/FWD or increase performance points of AWD)

I made 2 times and both received the exactly same response word by word exactly the same(definitively a bot) and both put as solved without fix anything

The easiest fix for AWD cars is to use the RWD PI calculation for tire width. The RWD calc increases PI for wider front and/or rear tires. As is, the game appears to use the FWD calc, which lowers PI for having wider rear tires. Since you can run significant rear bias, there is no downside to running the widest rear tires possible. That one little change likely fixes an issue that’s plagued Forza games for years.

And race spoiler lower PI exactly like on FWD to be honest spoiler is good FWD too you dont want to lose grip of rear wheels on FWD i dont know why lower PI and theres more problems like mid engine car lower PI with AWD swap what dont make sense(exactly like you said they are using FWD system to calculate AWD i think developers dont know players use 70% 75% 80% 85% REAR on AWD tunes) and even the increase of PI on front engine cars is very small and with with spoiler and big rear tire most times the car as less PI than on RWD, Zonda Cinque is S2 908 now install AWD and bigger rear tyre the car go to 900 i think it go to 996 or 997 with heavy wheels and rally tyres, rally tyres is another “exploit” of AWD you lose PI and keep a good grip on the RWD zonda rally tires dont lowered PI the rally tires only lowered PI on the zonda with AWD swap

RWDs are fine in FH3. I’d argue they drive better there than FH4, with the caveat of, once properly tuned. The default rear spring rates in FH3 are even higher relative to the front than FH4–the stock RWD setups drive worse than FH4s, but neither’s stock setups are appropriate.

I’ve won ranked races in RWDs. I’ve won a couple rushes in an A800 Mugen Civic. Won at least one rush in a RWD Diablo on race tires, and I hit a tractor at speed, too.

My S1 Ford GT and S1 Diablo gain PI with an AWD swap. So does my S2 GTR LM FE.

Its not impossible win with RWD/FWD first is not everyday you find someone experienced, second s*** happens the guy on AWD make mistake or get rammed and you win for luck, RWD on FH3 definitively is far to be good both games use same physics the different is now we have less gravity and this make us need more handling, FH3 on only race lobbys people run on low handling my Evo X 7,2 handling extreme acceleration and still racing without problems with grip or braking, on circuit racing beat all RWD without problems even if the RWD make a similar lap time the RWD will lose because AWD have very big advantage on start of race, you make the same lap time with RWD and AWD but on total time AWD is like 5 seconds faster on FH3 RWD have a little advantage on races with extreme high speed but AWD still with advantage on start making hard to beat AWD, FH4 RWD dont have any single advantage i think developers forgot how this game work, you run 8,3 on RWD 8,6 on FWD and 8,0 on AWD apparently devs thinks AWD need the same handling RWD and sometimes the same of FWD(its just a example some cars have little more or less diffence but in general its basically this AWD need 0,3 less handling FWD need 0,3 more handling than RWD) , on FH3 AWD is overpowered because the grip is extreme high even on low handling, on FH4 its better but now PI is helping AWD be ovepowered the fact we can make everything AWD dont help, honestly i dont know why forza as this option engine swap make sense but drivetrain NO and AWD is big and heavy half of cars on Forza is impossible make AWD without destroy the car and how is possible make this 3 wheels cars AWD? The worst is that forza motorsport created this and its supposed to be a simulator

Ford GT 2005 and 2017 lower PI with AWD, Diablo increase only 2 PI and if you using spoiler AWD increase only 1 PI

Not with my builds. They both gain around 20 IIRC, up from 900.

Why we dont race some day i am curious about your cars

I started having carpal tunnel symptoms and other weird cramps and pains in my left arm, so I stopped playing as much. Then, I tried to move FH4 to another drive to make room to reinstall FM7 on my SSD to try the new FFB patch, and FH4 broke. Microsoft Store wanted me to redownload the entire game. I don’t have unlimited data. To top it off, the install of FM7 said it needed 99GB. I moved some Steam games off the SSD and did some other general cleanup, for a total of ~135GB free space. I left FM7 to install overnight. The next morning, the drive was filled to a few GB free space (what happened to 99GB required?), and even after clearing out to 8 GB free space, the install failed, and wanted to redownload the entire 99GB again. I’ve had enough of Forza.

edit: My favorite part of this forum is when I edit posts the moment after I post them and it puts up an edited tag. Yeah look at me I can’t make up my mind, better make sure everyone knows.

Lol this make me remenber on FH3 i lost all progress 3 times, i have enough of Forza too now i only play FH4 to look the new cars and leave, now im playing other games The Crew 2 NFS Payback Asseto Corsa Project Cars 1 and 2 i lost my time with this game 3 months since i made the ticket to fix the missing race suspension on Veloster N and they never fixed i imagined they never fixed the AWD OP because their crew think its balanced but even this visible and easily fixed problem is ignored, and dude if you have steering wheel you need to play Asseto Corsa and Project Cars 1 and 2 is possible the best games to use steering wheel.

Assetto uses pneumatic trail only for FFB, like Forza used to until FM7/FH4, and I’ve heard enough about Project Cars to believe it’s more of a catered game than a sim.
