I think what he said was dumb, I’m sorry, if my GPS is going to harass me and say, "you haven’t gone to the gym in a while, I’ve set a route to the nearest “Planet Fitness,” I will take that said GPS, smash it with a hammer, put a flame thrower to it, then take the rest of the melted GPS and throw it into a lake.
However, I don’t believe its a “deal breaker,” as it is super annoying, its not THAT annoying.
If they don’t give me the option to turn ANNA off COMPLETELY and allow me to at least turn traffic off when we’re doing a drifting event I will definitely be on the fence about the next forza. Let me say this, I love the game, it is so much fun and I enjoy it but these little things annoy me personally to no end. The game is that good that I don’t want to be bothered with the nonsense Anna Spouts out. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve crashed trying to tell anna no while I’m cruising around the map, and while I have nothing to loose at that point its just annoying that I even have to keep doing it. I know I’m not the only one here who likes to get in one of their cars and just go for a cruise, the object of this open world type of racing is to go where you want to and be able to do the things that you would like to do. Also, the drivatars are the worse as well as they always go out of their way to make my life miserable but that a whole different thread all together.
FH3 is an absolutely great game, my game of the year by a landslide but there are certain things that take away from the experience and I think what bothers me the most about them is that they are stupid little things that could’ve and should’ve been dealt with with a simple toggle in the options. there are other things wrong but I can deal with them, the drivatars, ANNA and the increase in traffic during drift events or when I stay in an area too long are terrible imo.

If Anna is still asking you about a proposed route, I take it you have not completed the bucket lists. For your sanity, DO NOT complete the bucket lists, unless you 3-star all the PR stunts first. Once PR stunts are all that remains, she won’t ask; she’ll just set a route for you every so often, even if that means taking away the route you were already following.
Great post, BTW. I feel the same way, with the addition of having to deal with some instability (occasional crashing, mostly festival/garage-related). If this game had just a couple of these horrible issues fixed, it would be one of the truly greats.
You missed what really bugs me: “I’m sorry . . .” You’re sorry? Yeah, that’s what I think, but why do you think it, miss? Is it because your handlers are forcing you to interrupt my enjoyment of the game forever on a short timer? Or is it because you have nothing to say, but you insist on saying it?

I’ve completed the bucket list just before the update and then thought ANNA was doing this because of the update. This is just the worst thing in the whole Forza universe.

Uh boy, just wait until we get this DLC, soon Anna will say, “you haven’t bought the blizzard mountain DLC, do you want to purchase this pack?”
Or,
“You have a bucket list event nearby, I’ve set you a route to the DLC area that you haven’t gotten yet.”

she might even purchase it without asking :P. All kidding aside, she does get annoying but it doesn’t seem to happen as frequently as before the update. I do agree how ever that there should be a way to turn her off.
If someone complains about that happening, everything Forza related that I own is getting traded in, and never buying anything Forza related again.
Kidding of course, but ANNA is beyond ridiculous. Just a simple option to turn her off completely would fix so many people’s problems with her. I’m baffled as to why PG/T10 hasn’t patched that in yet.

Everything in any game should have an on/off option to keep everyone happy. Want a zombie free Dead rising? Turn them off!
Want to Sharks swimming down the slopes on Steep? Turn them on!
Want teapots in every Forza Photo? Turn them on!

On a more serious note Anna is helpful to start with in the first few hours, but once you find your feet she’s more a distraction. I still occasionally use her to drive to something but it’s not very often and only when i’m too lazy to bring up the map screen and i shout Anna, find me something to do, etc!
Tried turning off Anna by having the minimap setting to just “Minimap” not “Minimap/ANNA” - Didnt work
Tried “silencing” Anna by turning the GPS Voice down - Didnt work
Tried selecting the option where you press/hold down on the D-Pad that brings up telemetry only - Didnt work
So if you wanna drown out ANNA and not have her interrupting music probably best to use Groove Music separately and have all car sound effects turned all the way to 10 in the audio menu in the game.

Nothing works in any satisfactory way. Besides what you did, I tried turning voiceover volume down to 1. What that does is mute everything–music, engine, SFX–whenever she speaks at a low volume. There is no winning on this one. It almost seems like the devs are trolling us. I can almost hear their snickering in the background. I can’t think of any scenario in which decision makers actually thought this through, and still decided it needed implementing this way.

go to audio options and turn the gps sound off or all the way down. the first thing I did when I started playing was turn the sound all the way down on her.
LSU Rules06 It makes no difference in terms of annoyance. Music still fades out regardless
Worst part about ANNA is that someone, an actual human being, thought it was a good idea to have her interupting all the time, change the GPS to wherever she wants even when the GPS is already set…!
I guess devs never played their game for more than 15 minutes, otherwise they would have been annoyed too, and at least would have put an option to disable her…

I’m pretty sure you can turn off ANNA in the options.
No, you cannot. You can turn off the GPS function, but not the other stuff we are complaining about.
