Have to admit, looks and feels great!
If you take a side by side comparison between FM23(please call it FM8) and FM7/GT7, you can actually see very pronounced differences.
Ive always said that GT’s shader and lighting is incredible. It is. But Forza 23 at least on the ring, looks even better imo!
Thats the first positive thing ive said and thought about the game so far…
When you install reshade - target the executable shown in the right of this screenshot called: gamelaunchhelper.exe. Seems counter-intuative but it works - thank’s for the tips @FreshBarley4670 and @LJITimate
I’d say the whole bog down feeling is to do with the new tyre model plus all that other fancy stuff you can play with like anti-squat etc
It can make things feel a lot “heavier” than in FM7 and if you don’t tune your ride well in FM8 you are going to suffer, especially in the understeer dept
Excellent!
I’ll be trying this out for sure, anything to make the game look better than a watercolor painting on some tracks at random times. It’s quite bizzare how one race it can look pretty darn good, then you race it again with the exact same weather and time of day and it’s all over the shop.
Sometimes the track surface look semi decent and othertimes the track is just complete grey with no marking whatsoever
AMS2 is technically one of the least realistic sims out there. It bridges the gap between simcades like FM versus more advanced sims like iRacing and ACC.
But it’s all subjective. I honestly feel like AMS2 is the direction FM23 should have gone, as opposed to a continuation of the FM5-7 copy/paste job
It’s not just the realism, I think it’s just more fun
My salty self is just sad that a developer with six years and a AAA budget couldn’t at least innovate a little and meet the current par from small time devs like Reiza
I feel like they put all their time and effort into min/maxing accessibility and commercial appeal
It looks a lot more realistic to the real track now. Adenauer is completely different than how it used to be in Forza. Much sharper corner to the left. Good job I’d say!
Sometimes I’m seeing some strange shadow effects on the trees either side of the track, like a tunnel effect drawing in the shadows on the trees. Used to happen a lot on the fencing at Homestead but must have been patched out.
It shouldn’t look like that, you’re HDR is out of wack… Change the settings in the game using the video calibration tab and also download the HDR app it’s on both windows and xbox, adjust using that and It should fix that for you.
Did you even check out the link to the topic? It’s the whites of the game itself it has nothing to do with my HDR settings. Other ppl have the same problem.
Because the game’s directors/managers said with full confidence “bUiLt FrOm ThE gRoUnD uP.”
What they might have meant in a literal sense is that their new tire model required track resurfacing, but they (over)used that catch-phrase in misleading ways.
…Kinda like “100% beef” hot dogs that verifiably contain only cattle, which could technically be true-ish even if it’s mostly hooves & ears & organs.
I’m on the same page as you man. There are some guys on here that know everything about everything and crap all over any content, improvements or comments Turn10 put out there. It’s really sad to see how low people can stoop, and the reasoning is beyond me.
The opinions on this track range from the top to the bottom of the scale. It would be nice if people here could respect other people’s opinions about the track without name calling and claiming people must have bad eyesight and other such unnecessary statements. But the funny thing is, it only seems to be the defenders on the track who are lashing out at others. Can we try and have a decent and respectful conversation about what people are seeing in their differing opinions of the track?
