you right
but FM is not a serious sim
FM had inrace music bevor and there is no reason to release a new title with less features.

Early access, multiplayer racing was glorious for those five days, and then the riffraff came in, the Refuge of Game Pass and Johnny come Latelys Has turned the game into need for speed, crash and burn once again. Penalty system is incompetent and it poor effort to keep a promise made. For the mere fact, Clean drivers are penalized for an opponents, poor behavior, etiquette, and lack of common sense and decency. In addition, function of saving replays is non-existent therefore you canāt report any of the bad actors that you encounter in multiplayer. A lot of work needs to be done or changes need to be made to leadership and development to complete the vision that was presented to the consumer. I can only hope that the platform will become progressively better over time.
Imagine paying for early access for this game only to spend all your time mindlessly leveling cars ![]()
I wanted to see:
Better physics (make the rear tires have more grip while being harder to save from a slide - jus like GT7);
Added simulation (brake, engine and transmission temperatures; introduce brake fading, engine damage from overboosting and overrevving, etc etc);
Make tire temperature a thing. As of now, it is impossible to overheat the tires on the course of a lap. Street tires should be melting after a few hard laps on track;
Make suspension wear a thing. You guys already have a good suspension model, make it so that the thing can fail if you hit kerb after kerb, lap after lap;
Have a PROPER simulation of hybrids. The NSX and the 919 (to name a few) DONāT have a center a diff. They are not proper AWD cars.
Allow for multiple power delivery modes, TC settings, Diff settings, brake balance settings, etc, to be adjustable on the fly, as you should be able to do in a race car.
Fix the sounds! The 812 Superfast is using the V8 sound file, the Sauber C8 sounds TOTALLY wrong, you canāt even hear the difference when changing exhaust systems, some of the engines just feel artificial, etcā¦
I am massively disappointed by the game so far. Such a shame. Had massive expectations.
I will never hold the soundtrack against any video game. My taste in music is no where near mainstream, so I certainly do not expect to hear any of this music as part of the game (Stan Kenton, Pete Rugolo, Robert Hicks, Dave Brubeck, Buddy Rich, Frank Sinatra, Yes, Trevor Rabin- including his movie soundtracks, Magenta, Genesis, etc). I simply turn the volume for the music off, and listen to another source.
āUnimportantā.

ok thatās quite droll. Well done.
Iām starting to thing itās not just āyourā last FM, but the last full-bore FM release we may ever see #gamesasaservice
The sound is absolutely the most disappointing. Underwhelming engine noise, lack of ambience - but most importantly the cars have no life to them - no rattles no squeeks or pops - nothing sounds like āmotorsportā. Itās like the people making the game didnāt go out to a race track even once - let alone play other racing games such as i-racing for inspiration.
PC performance is something I strongly agree with the OP on. Itās inexcusable that Forza on PC always seems to have problems. I could list the issues I find to be the most irksome, but I wouldnāt mention anything new here.
If it helps at all - (depending on your make and model of GPU)
Iāve found the following to produce a pretty much rock steady frametime and framerate:
Graphics settings: Whatever you like that is appropriate to your rig.
Resolution Native.
Render Scale Native (100%)
All Ray Tracing off. DLSS set to quality.
V sync - max fps = monitor hz capped however you prefer.
As soon as I re-introduce RT or mess about with unlocked framerate / v sync it all goes wrong.
My GPU is actually good enough to give me decent performance. My CPU is the issue. I have a Ryzen 5 3600 (non-X) and on paper itās not far off of the recommended Ryzen 5 5600X⦠But in action, the 3600 would be the derpy dragon head in the AMD Driverās meme. For its time the 3600 was decent. It can handle most of what was thrown at it when Zen 2 was still AMDās current platform. But since Zen 3, the 3600 has been the bottle neck. I should have migrated away from the 3600 a long time ago, but up until FM and Starfield, I didnāt feel that an upgrade was necessary. Looks like the time to upgrade is here.
XD
I prefer my soundtrack to be generated by V8, V10 and V12 engines. Donāt have to worry about the mixing or it fitting the race. Itās always perfect!
