Random question, but does anyone know more info about the in-game advertisements on the tracks? Most of the ads look like they’re copied from the IRL tracks, but there are a few placements that have changed. I noticed the overhead banners on Monza changed to feature Polo Red around the release of the Polo Red car pack. The overhead banners look very similar to display media ad sizes e.g. 728 x 90, 300 x 250, 300 x 100.
Since noticing those similarities in proportions, I’m wondering if those are media placements that are using the IRL ads as placeholders, or if the Polo Red ad placement was just a one-off. It seems like the ad sizes are the same through the entire Forza franchise, both FM and FH. Anyone have any ideas?
“Real life” on-track advertising often changes depending on what racing series is currently attending a circuit:

The advertisement banners chosen in-game are either generic/track-specific ones approved by the circuit during the licensing process, or related to partnerships that Turn 10 has signed regarding the game.

Thanks for the extra info PJ! That all makes sense. I’ve been meaning to go back to FM5 and 6 and see if that Polo Red placement is still there. Iirc, that’s the only placement I’ve seen change, in-game, so it’s probably just a one-off. I wouldn’t expect the ads to be a high priority for T10, but it also looks like it could be converted to a programmatic ad platform, and allow the same sponsors to bid on the equivalent in-game placements they already bid on IRL. That said, something tells me the community wouldn’t be terribly keen on the idea
Another thing worth noting, there are quite a few adds which are digitally added when viewing on tv. Like the ones that fill a grassy section are often an overlay added for television viewing.
