A "Your favorite car" thread? I don't see one, but I have fallen in love

I am absolutely in JOY with the HSV. I use the saloon for most of my races, but for hooning, and of course forzathons, I discovered, built and tuned the S1 beast and find it to be just an amazing joy to drive! The Mad Maloo! It perfectly matches my driving style in how it is built for acceleration and handling, oversteer and understeer situations plus is just a bit over the top… like me!

My favourite car:
TVR Cerbera Speed 12. Since I’ve driven it in Gran Turismo 2 for the first time I always adored this car in racing games. Sadly, it hasn’t been in many.
Low weight, high power, agile, extremely demanding and rewarding. No need to say that it’s my most used car in Horizon 4. Running it on S1 without aero parts. It wheelspins up into the 4th gear when fully accelerating but once it grips it just shoots away like nothing else.
Currently my 4th fastest S1 car around Goliath and only one of 4 cars to go under 9:00 on S1.

my chargers have 6 in game and the real one lol
use for almost everything

Big agree, absolutely love the Chargers and I’m glad to see quite a few people driving them in online sessions

Horizon/Forza Edition Cars have lost their shine to me…, now that basically, any other car can be turned into one via Skill Tree.
One step closer to removing “Special Edition” cars in the next installment (I’m all for it though :+1:t3:)
Ending the quest to get them. One less thing to play for.

My favourite so far is the Peel P50. My next favourite is the Unimog.

I tend to agree, but for cruising in style nothing beats an old Bentley.

The Blower and 8 Litre are lovely olde things.

It’s difficult to pick a favorite car, since there are so many that I love to drive, but if i were to pick just one, I’d choose the BMW Z8. It is really fun to drive, handles well, is plenty fast enough, and I have a thing for convertibles…something Forza really needs a lot more of. Oh, and I have a relative who owns a real one that I got to ride in. :stuck_out_tongue: After the BMW, it’s my Holden HQ Ute.

The Honda NSX R. Love it for road racing, absolutely sticks to the road no matter how you chuck it about.

Here is one of my personal favorites in the game so far. 2016 Porsche 911 GT3 RS PO

My supercharged S1 Toyota Baja, great for bombing around offroad as well as for danger signs, quite capable of hitting 250-300k+ on a lot of speed traps as well.

Eagle Speedster and pretty much any other roadster. I played the first three Horizon games in reverse order. The sheer abundance of roadsters in H1 was a huge draw despite the step down in graphics from what I had become accustomed to. It reminded me right off the bat that Horizon is about cruising as much as it is racing. I really love the celebration of car culture the game has evolved into and the return of this car ties it all together.

my go to fave car… VW Beetle!

My absolute favorites so far are without a doubt the McLaren Senna and the Toyota T100 Baja Truck. The Senna has really grown on me looks-wise, so I think it’s gorgeous and incredibly fun to drive. The T100 was a favorite of mine in FM7, but as we know it was in there as a filler car and overall a waste of space. Horizon is where it gets to shine and there’s something about it that makes it so awesome for me! Maybe it’s my bias towards offroaders but it’s currently my most successful car in the game race-wise.

The C2 Corvette, namely the '67 Sting Ray 427 that has been a feature of Forza games from the earliest.

Back in FM2 I picked the '67 Vette and wanted to see how much performance I could get from such an old but beautiful car. So I took the stock 427 Tri-Power motor and shoved every Race upgrade I could into it. With a Positive Displacement supercharger and every upgrade (except Exhaust, as Race exhaust does sound horrible in FM2) maxxed out, you get an engine which benchmarked at 720 hp and a diabolical 666 ft-lbs of torque. This gave the car a persona and a story beyond being another lump of fiberglass and steel. I painted it in a mako shark style and dubbed her The Devil With A Blue Dress.

I did my darnedest to hammer out a viable circuit tune that could handle that power, and the car I got was an S-class demon that could indeed go around corners (she was no mere missile car, though I suspect my publishing her tune helped give rise to them in the FM2 leaderboards). But driving it was like balancing a knife in your palm: you could do it, but the slightest mistake was going to sting.

In every version of Forza afterwards I make a '67 Vette tune in honor of that first car. I toned it down a bit, making 666 the horsepower target rather than torque, and that’s enough to just barely keep it in Class A specs.

In FM3, FM4, Horizon 1, Horizon 2, FM7, and now here, I’ve built a Class A 1967 Corvette road racer with the stock motor upgraded to 666 horsepower in a mako shark paintjob.

Mine would have to be the Nissan skyline get-r v-spec 1993

Holden Torana.
A Beast in A and S1 Class for tight tracks.

Currently Merc SL65 AMG FE … with all perks enabled it racks up skill points so fast while drifting … and it drifts really well right out of the showroom

BMW M2…love it.
