Just posting this because I wanted to say something positive about multiplayer racing online. Sure, there are some crashes, but then again there are races like the one I had over the weekend that are just plain cool - and I’m not saying that because I won it It was ten or eleven D class cars on the 'Ring, and one the initial carnage was done with (looking at you, white car) the rest of the race (11+ miles) was clean as a whistle. clean races happen. bathurst seems to be worse than the ring for me. it was over 100 starts before i had a race where the entire feild wasn’t piled up in turn 1. if i have a speed tune i pull off the side and let everybody go then pass them 1 at a time. its actually faster to start later than fight every corner with multiple people. i just follow thru the turn and get them cleanly on the straight. if you treated them cleanly when you passed they are more likely to try to avoid taking you out in the turn if they can catch back up. they might nudge you if you let them get the inside, but they usually dont try to punt you as far as they can.
Overall my experiences with public hoppers have been good. I see a lot of the same faces each day and have seemed to weed out alot of the crashers and trolls by utilizing the blocking system. The amount of clean racers online still seem to be in the majority IMO.

Online people like this need to be banned permanently from games. Why should I pay $60+ for a game to only have my fun ruined? I shouldn’t. Ban them or make sure they can only play other scrubs like themselves.
I do - if I block someone, I will also report them. Not sure if it really will do anything but maybe in the long run???
***edit - but I wonder if any of these guys block or report me??? I’m a super clean racer but I wonder when someone hits me if they think it’s my fault. I’m the type or racer that will back out from an inside position if I’m not clear ahead or I will move 2 wheels on the grass to leave room on the outside. I’ll also take a very wide apex when someone squeezes on the inside. But this racer I’ve left room for at the apex doesn’t always leave me room on the exit and I sometime find myself (and the other driver) spun around in the dirt or on the wall. Although I will make a mistake sometimes, almost all of these accidents seem to be caused by a less experienced driver who 1) doesn’t know there is another car next to them, 2) doesn’t have the required car control to go 2 wide through a corner, or 3) feel they are entitled to “their racing line”???
Up until very recently I’ve only exclusively raced in a tightly controlled league so I never thought about this last group before but I wonder if this group in their ignorance would report me??? Its funny think about.
