A fun thing happened today at the Megane Stock Trial

First race was not looking good but Club Deck blocked the AI on the last lap and me and JJP were able to get into better position and secure the win. (We did have two other players, but they were dead last both races) Race two, JJP and I got the lead and blocked the AI to get us the win in the second race after a few wall rubs and collisions caused our buddies to get stuck. Race 2 was also pretty close, but we had it locked up by the end of Lap 2.

And finally, my trusty steed - I shared the livery - look me up (same gamertag)

Anyway shout out to Club DECK, and JJP here, great clean racing all around and a great team effort to salvage what might have been a loss otherwise.

Ahhahha that’s pretty bad lol

I had to use three tries today. The first group was terrible. Ramming mayhem. Quitted that one pretty soon. Second group was better from that point of view. Yours truly and some others messed up so we lost. Third was nice enough, I still didn’t do really well but handled over enough points.

Had a pretty good team in my Trial run this morning. Saw another player had a ‘teammate’ livery with lots of warning vinyls so I knew there was at least someone on the team who understood how to play. A couple of people fought with each other but we went 2-7 first race. Second race I got rammed by AI into the start of a race wall which caused a full stop. But we finished 1-3, 5-7.

The TEAM MATE livery will become systematic for those who want to drive cleanly, personally when I find it in the choice of liveries for my trial car, it is without hesitation!
It doesn’t stop some bullies from killing you in the race, but it’s still a warning.

For the last trial with this livery on the megane, I had very good teammates and the battle was fair. It’s so nice when it’s clean!

I had some bad times. Only one clanmate on so less carry potential, which is fine, but two complete jerks in the mix. One was aggressively blocking anyone who tried to pass, and the other did not touch their brakes once and bombed every corner. The other two were just not very good, which is fine, don’t mind carrying people who are doing their best but failing.

Still won both races, coming in first in both, to win the trial, but man do I hate carrying jerks. Also, starting at the back in cathedral, there is only so much one can do, no matter how superior of a driver you are. Can’t pass the slower drivers if there is no space, and there is so much opportunity for “teammates” to stuff you into environment that’ll stop you dead, but driving defensively will tank your performance. FWD on a tight course like that, you need to be committing to lines in order to keep any speed at all through corners. I was lucky. Cornerbomb MgGee only got me a couple times before space opened up and I was finally able to gain distance.

i had to do this disaster twice as the first team i was in didn’t get the message that we were a TEAM and continuously wrecked any chance of attaining a good position/passing the AI through ramming and cornerbombing. SMH. the second try i got a better team that seemed to know what they were doing and we handily beat the challenge in two and out. i really hope this is the end of these stock trials. they have become a headache and a nuisance at this point .

Did it first time as usual. Had a team player swerving all over the road, knocked me into the railings, but we still won anyway. Have no idea why he was swerving on the straights.

Had a total idiot the first go. Ran into anything and everyone he could.
Bailed on it. . . waste of time.
2nd run - good team - placed 1st x2. no 3rd race.
Easy tune I do for most every one of these stock races:
Front tires at about 34 PSI / Rear tires full 55 PSI.
The rear tires are loose, which allows you to really throw the back end into a turn much sharper than the stock PSI.
A little trailer braking, and can easily turn on the inside of most other drivers or AI’s.

Liked the car - it worked really well for me.
That was quite a surprise . . .
Brakes didn’t seem that bad to me.
The prior weeks Trial was horrible for me on the brakes.
Overall- decent Trial . .

I don’t know why we comment on the trial each week. Not like anything changes. AI remains bad. Players drive the same way. The only thing that changes is stock vs non stock.

True. That’s what these forums are for after all.

I love how every week I look for a livery to apply to my trial car and someone has already made a “TEAM MATE” variant, usually featuring hi-vis patches and stripes.

Done several Trial runs so far as i quite like it when the car is stock like the Megane. Didn’t have issues with other players as i got to the front straight up or started up front, passed the AI, and never looked back. Apart from one race where i quit due to a phone call, every other race i blitzed it into 1st place. Haven’t even done the third yet as we have won every single time. Very enjoyable for once.

Because not everyone agrees with you if you read the posts. I like the trials. You will get comments when people don’t agree with each other, what surprises me is that people don’t notice that some people like the trials. The Ai can be bumped out of the way.

I will never understand people weaving on straights, but I will definitely comment about and lambast it.:crazy_face:

I will also never understand why the AI weave on straights even when there’s no other cars around them. Are they warming up their tires mid race for some reason?
