2020 Audi R8 "good will" gift car does not show up if you already own it

Not sure if this is working as intended but I already had the vehicle. And I know this because The one in my garage is level 3, so I know it’s not the one I was supposed to get today when I checked my mail.

I don’t need two of them anyway since the game shipped with one of its many missing features of the auction house. Ahem…

So currently the gift car seems broken if you already have one in your garage. Which I think it was part of the career rewards (that’s since disappeared, I believe I remember people complaining they missed out on it).

Could somebody look into this? It would be nice to have a spare one that I could sell in the auction house, oh wait…

Not the case for me. I already owned one. Received the gift card and now have two in my garage. Both are showing up just fine. I’m on PC (Steam).

Showed up for me too. I’m actually more annoyed that I can’t remove it with the new patch. I don’t like having duplicate cars

@LsK1128 - do you have an option to sell the car? Mine shows I could sell for 140,000CR.

Edit 16-Dec-23 - option to sell is now disabled

Dumb question, did you click ‘download’ on the gift message?

When receiving a gift in the message center, you have to download it from the message.

I sold it yesterday. You have to go into “My Cars”, actually select the car you want to sell, load the car in, and then you have the option to sell it. It’s terrible UX, but the option is there.

Yep, both are gift cars (it’s showing that I can’t sell them because of that)

I actually am one who thinks they got a lot of cars very right even in stock form in this game. But my god, the 2020 R8 handles like an old Buick. So much pitch and roll, so floaty and hard to turn.

Hey Turn10 got something right gifting this car out to everyone! Also well done on making it so players can’t accidentally sell exclusive cars from Series where we can only win them once, especially since the auction house went belly up.

It showed up for me. I quickly made it dissappear though. I don’t need two of them. Especially when the 2016 is 90% of the expierence.

I bet I forgot to download it. I forgot you have to actually say yes I want this item. I’ll check that later thanks guys

I had game hang when downloading what should have been my 2nd gifted R8 performance, after end tasking & relaunching I was showing 3 of them, next time I launched I had 2, lol.

As meaningless/plentiful as credits seem to be, I’m not sure what the utility of T10 regifting another instance of the same gift car is in this game, but that’s another topic I spose.

I got the free car, but had already bought it.

SO now I can’t sell either.
Total waste of time, thanks for literally nothing garbage 10…um I mean Thurd 10.
