15 millions players now in the HOF

No, it sounds like he is describing the freezing issue which has affected all PC users since the last patch.

Doesn’t seem to be “all”. It seems to be a handful of people who come here and complain.

Yes it is all. All PC users. Just because they don’t all come HERE doesn’t mean it doesn’t affect them all. You do see that I hope?

I’m on PC and haven’t been able to enjoy the game at all. Throw in the fact that I have a Fanatec setup and the PC problem is even worse. The game won’t even load a cut scene with a Fanatec wheel detected.

As a comparison, I played Horizon 4 for about a year and a half before it became monotonous and I was only logging in once a week to get the “new content”. Horizon 5 has got me to that point in a handful of months. With online racing being a disaster, there is no point in logging in just to race driver-tards repeatedly. They effectively put me at the same point a whole year sooner…

Without quoting a ton of earlier posts, from my perspective I would say that a lot of the negativity in here comes from the fact that FH5 basically repeated many of the mistakes that were made going from FH3 to FH4 in terms of regressions in multiplayer and too much focus on weekly challenges and using them to push players in a way that undermines the “play it your way” ideal that has been advertised in the past.

For me at least I feel like I’ve given the devs the benefit of the doubt since FH3 and been disappointed and sometimes appalled with how they’ve handled the franchise and the playerbase. I can totally understand all the saltyness in here, a lot of us have tried to give constructive criticism for years (and often been called whiners/complainers/whingers when we try to point out issues with the game) with most of it falling on deaf ears. It’s hard to see a beloved franchise run into the ground like this while MS plays games with manipulating player statistics to try to hype the game and gamepass rather than trying to actually fix problems and build a good game.

Horizon is a popular concept.

Each game can still implement it well or poorly.

Perhaps the original post might be less divisive if it accurately identified the number of players in the HoF? 15,000,000 would appear to be the total who have played the game at all, which is not the same thing.

The PC has those problems, but they aren’t the main problems with the game itself. The glowing tunnels for example are a main problem, because you can’t see where you’re going. Things that affect the actual gameplay need to be fixed before I care about waiting 3 seconds for the game to start properly.

Doesn’t this just mean that 15 million accounts have started the game? Not necessarily 15 million different people have played. A lot of people create / have multiple Gamertags.

That exit lag/delay can be seen on any video I posted.
That’s on PC running system SSD and game on HDD, on laptop with both SSD drives, delay feels even worse.

Edit
That thing is especially “fun” in Eliminator, when entering HtH, where everything freezes for few seconds, but car is actually moving.

Yes! And that is why I know it isn’t a problem at our end because it does it in FH5 only, and not FH4. And it didn’t do it when FH5 came out, only after the big patch. So it is a bit annoying when some people jump to the wrong conclusion and think it must be the user’s fault.

I’m supposed to be here fostering a positive and enjoyable community experience for everyone, even when not everyone is having a positive experience with the game. I’m having enough trouble doing that with all the game issues and spectrum of sentiment alone, to have to deal with users going after each other on top of it. So pay attention:

Personal attacks will stop.
Personal arguments unrelated to the topic will stop.
Personal comments about any user’s abilities, available time or budget, or appreciation of what’s important will stop.
Personal characterizations of other groups whether “fanboys” or opposing opinion will stop.
Trolling and sarcasm to instigate or inflame arguments will stop.
False and defaming accusations about any user or any developer’s motivations will stop.

The forums and this community will continue. I would like everyone - from enthusiast to vocal critic - to continue as part of this community. But if you cannot comport yourself in a way that is appropriate to this forum’s tone and sense of community, your ability to post here will stop.

Keep the feedback coming. Thanks!

There you go again, FullNietzsche, letting facts get in the way of a good argument.
