Do you think its a Forza killer? Personally I think not. It’s a decent game, but it brings not much to the table that other racing sims haven’t already, though the career mode is a bit interesting. Lack of cars somewhat hold back the game in my opinion. Physics are good, but so are Forza 5’s.
Its not a forza killer, never set out to be one. To say it doesnt bring anything new to the table is willful ignorance.
Forza isnt even close when it comes to the physics that pcars does.
Forzas FFB is completely crap in comparison to many other sims. You guys have such blind faith its unbelievable.
Does pcars currently have bugs, yes. Lets not even start on forzas bugs that got completely ignored and carried from game to game, seriously.
The term Forza killer is in the eye of the beholder.
For those who want a racing simulator the PCars franchise (assuming it becomes one) will be a Forza killer.
For those who want a pick up and play driving game Forza is king.
On the console PCars does a lot of things not done before.
Too many to mention but it is very customisable, sliders for many things.
More cars would be good but only if they were more sortable. Touring cars are not all the same performance wise from the old Escort up to the Merc for example. And yes I am aware of why this is the case on the consoles.
One thing I have realised is compared to most other console games I thought Forza made me drive properly / correctly where not other game did. Now I feel like PCars is doing that and Forza didn’t.
I enjoy the differences but as for a more correct approach PCars magnifies that more than Forza does. People will say what about the GTs and LMPs but drive them hard and you will find out Forza lets you get away with a lot more than PCars does.
After more than 80 hours of playtime I actually prefer PC to Forza.
The race experience is better, the physics are great and the track selection is worlds above Forza’s.
I like that the career doesn’t require credits grinding and thanks to dynamic weather and day time the races are unpredictable and more intense.
PC could be a big name in the genre if Slightly Mad continue to fix the bugs and release more content.
