Is this the last Forza?

Ive been playing forza 4 - 5 and now 6.

I did have a lot of fun with nr 4 but 5 was boring.

And here we go with 6, ok the game looks nice, a lot of amazing cars to view and one can make some amazing desings with it.

The gameplay carreer is again just a grinding of race after race of a few laps for what ??

The showcase i do like.
Multiplayer is as before: few good races and a lot of crashing.

But what bothers me the most is the physics of driving the cars.
For a big company who is celebrating there 10th year of Forza games its just not good enough.
Wheel use is not optimal in game.

Great game for those who just want to fill there garage with beautifull cars.

But for a next gen racinggame it comes short on delivering.

The technologie is there now to bring racing much closer to reality - even on consoles-

Like most people ill play with controller and collect some cars, do some rivals. But will be taking my wheel out for racing on other games.

With the racing games that are out now and knowing what is coming this will be the last time i spent money on a Forzatittle.
(if i had bought a hard copy i probably would return it)

I think it delivers extremely well, and physics feel a lot more realistic compared to how Forza 5 felt. They only seem to be improving. For console racers, it’s at the top of it’s class right now. Pcars was good fun for a little, but with the amount of bugs and problems it had I couldn’t continue. The problems it has are relatively small compared to its competitor. They’ve finally implemented some new features with rain and weather, and while it’s not dynamic, it has much more of an effect then other games on console.

The fact is, the technology is no where near close enough to bring realistic racing to consoles, and what makes that painfully obvious is for the games that try to introduce dynamic weather, it just doesn’t work at locked 60, yet. I prefer a locked and stable frame rate over all first and foremost. This is a step on the right track, I doubt Forza is going down the drain anytime soon.

At the end of the day it comes down to business. Every company has a breaking point where they can’t loose money on a game. Even though some games have faults in quality or marketing, most companies will blame it on supply demand, saying customers just don’t want that type of game anymore. For example capcom will not produce sequels to any game with sales lower than 1.5 mil (might be higher, but not sure i remember).

Forza costs money to produce and market. If they cannot break even on the costs, the chance of another Forza will be slim.

Last I looked Forza only had about 500k active copies. You can check yourself by looking at the leaderboards on Rio Full S class (When you first start the game, there is no way out of this race, so everyone who puts forza into their console has to set a time on that track )

The other argument is that T10 doesn’t really have another dog in the fight (beyond Horizon).

Therefore i think the very worst that could happen is they pull the Forza Franchise and re-brand in 2 years with a new IP that could be seen as a replacement for the franchise.

Even though Forza Motorsport hasn’t been annualized (technically) they do release a Forza branded game every year. Companies who do this are starting to realize that it bleeds the series dry. (COD, Madden, and Assassins are starting to experience drastic decreases in sales year after year)

My 2 cents.

“Is this the last Forza?”

-No.

I disagree with you op. The game is the best Forza to date. I have played 1-6 and 3-6 using the wheel. Once the wheel is configured properly you need to tune your cars to get the proper feel. I also recommend racing with all assist off. You should play with the DOR settings, deadzone settings, etc. IMO Forza 6 feels great with the wheel. Did you read the post by VooDoo regarding the wheel? Very helpful.
