Yo, PG, you guys spelled "license plate" wrong

Might want to fix this.

License. License is both a noun and a verb in the United States. If you live in any other English-speaking country, you will spell it licence when you use it as a noun and license when you use it as a verb.

Playground games is an English company so use UK English.

In the UK, it’s spelt licence. In Australia & some other English countries, it’s license. Although I do agree to some point, that it should be spelt appropriately to where the map is based.

They should spell it “licenze” so it is equally wrong everywhere.

I’m sure the screen shot was from the UK-localized version. They will likely have a US regionalized spellings in the release, as well. They do the same thing for other US/UK spelling idiosyncrasies, such as color/colour, and tires/tyres.

It has to do with the translations or languages selected in Xbox itself that determines the spelling.

As PandamicBow2072, JoshSA92 and PlumCrazy010 mentioned, since PG is a UK company, its highly likely their dev kits are region are set to UK.

Do Americans have licenses though? Surely that would impinge on their freedoms. Almost like having to wear a seatbelt.

May as well have a driver’s license to go with the gun license, right?
