race box was 0 PI and a weight drop , have a clue about what your saying before you comment, otherwise you look clueless, I eagerly await that great tune that brakes right regardless of assists . In fact I think a lot want to see that, master tuner.
That’s the exception, not the rule. The vast majority of cars get a considerable PI boost when you add a race trans (I think about 10+ for many of them) which is much better spent on upgraded tire width/compound, platform and handling, and/or engine upgrades. The only time you would ever add one of those is when you’ve given all of those previously mentioned upgrades to the max but you still need more PI to make up for the deficit.
It not really the exception to the rule. You basically buy the sport/race tranny when you swap drivetran. If keeped the RWD, it would cost a lot more PI. Tranny are very expensive, and should only be used for special builds or when the tranny is cheap. But in most cases, a cheap tranny mean’s it’s a poor build.
