Hi all! Yes I’m still alive. Some of you may remember me from Forza 2 thru 4 days, primarily as a painter of classic cars. I still paint a few but only a limited number are unlocked for download. I have also always done my own tunes, though not with any great success. Lately I was thinking about some real world races Ihave seen and what made the winners sucessful. One in particular stood out; a Camel GT Series race at Portland International Raceway in the 90’s (yes I’m old). That race, and indeed the entire season was dominated by a pair of Nissan’s. I sat at the end of the front straight and watched as cars were braking hard for the tight right/left chicane. I soon saw why the Nissan’s were so strong. They weren’t faster, and didn’t handle noticably better either. They were vastly better at braking! They could stay on the power longer and pass car after car before entering the chicane. I decided to try this in Forza. I have started with some D, C, and B tunes with the majority of PI points on handling and braking, with any left over going to the engines. After some trial and error, Iam now having much sucess. I have uploaded a couple of videos and the related tunes. I do single laps of the Nurburgring with a standing start. These are all first try clean laps, and am getting top 10 percent in the Americas. I call them “No Drama” tunes because they are so easy to drive and get clean laps. I’m getting these times even with assists on, so they will be beginner friendly. I would appreciate any feedback from anyone that watches the videos or tries out the tunes. Thanks all
