XBox One wheel settings outside of Forza

I just received my first ever FF wheel - a Thrustmaster TMX - and have a couple of questions:

  1. Should the wheel show up under “Devices” in the Xbox One settings? I checked and get the “nothing is connected” response, but the wheel is connected and works fine.
  2. That said, if it should show up, are there settings outside of Forza that you can apply to the wheel?
  3. How do I update the firmware for the wheel? The less than stellar Thrustmaster instructions say to go to the “Updates and Downloads” menu on a PC. Do I have to connect to a PC to update or will XBox one do this? Problematic if by PC - our house is all Mac.

Other than these small things the wheel works well. I’m still getting used to the FF but like it a lot. I’ll report back on this newest Thrustmaster wheel after I get a few hours of seat time.

Cheers!
K

If I remember correctly from when I had the Thrustmaster TX, the wheel does not show up under devices, but it worked with no problems. As for settings outside of Forza, no. Each game you use the wheel with(Project Cars, Dirt Rally), should have it’s own wheel settings options. And thirdly, unfortunately you will need a PC to apply any firmware updates as the wheel isn’t Mac compatible.
