I was updating FM7 to the lastest update and the download speed was very slow. I decided to reboot my router and modem in the middle of the update. As such, I turned off the console and waited until my router had finished rebooting. I did not cancel or pause the update before turning off the console…which might have been my mistake. In any event, when I turned on the console, the game was gone.
When trying to launch the disc, the game is doing a full install attempt. So…it was deleted from the console. I’m assuming the cloud will save my tunes, settings, and such…but thought I’d post this up. Not sure if this is supposed to happen if you interrupt a game update.
.
I had the same issue happen to me, yet, under slightly different circumstances. Sine it was too slow, it asked me if I wanted to “Cancel” (which I assumed would be the UPDATE), yet, right after I clicked it, the whole game was gone. This should certainly not happen, it should not wipe out your whole game if you do not want to install the update (for whatever reason) at that moment – versus a “forced install”.
So, now, installing the WHOLE 97.31 GB…(plus whatever else needs to be added to that…VIP/Car Packs…etc…)
It’s an xbox issue…not a game issue
And its a reasonably new one too
It happened to me with 5 other games last weekend and the only way i could even use my console due other xbox live issues was to cancel ALL my updates and downloads and in the process i now have to download those 5 again
