this is becoming absolutely unreal to me now.
it’s been two days i’m repeating the dowload procedure on my xbox with a sudden stop at 12.25gb and same stupid 0x87e00005 error.
support asnwered at the first help request with a “we proceed to investigate”
then silence…
i repeatedly contacted them to have an answer.
some dumb, totally unprofessional and bad-informed dude at some point wrote “Hello, The pre-order period runs until the 3rd of October. Once the pre-order period opens in your region you should be able to download with no issues. If you are in a paused download state, then it will resume once the pre-order period opens in your region.”
pre-order period is open in Italy man: a couple of friends of mine are playin right now on their xbox from midnight
I DESERVE A FRICKEN EXPLENATION AS I PAID FOR A GAME I CAN’T USE.
just erased my xbox like out of the store, even erasing games and apps and restarted download for the 8th time.
about 5% now (20mbs average)
emailed AGAIN support with data requested
going to bed as is 1:24AM here and i’m suppose to start work at 7:00… hope to find something different than 18% on my dashboard when i wake up or, at least, an e-mail with a solution form MSSupport.
Just to be perfectly clear: today i tried also PC pre-load and got stuck like everyone else… no comment.
nope…
same error, same issue… even erasing everithing on the console; waiting now for an answer from support as they wrote me few minutes ago they are “investigating” on it.
I got more questions from support and i answered all of them, then nothing: still waiting for a clue.
Already tried to change DNS, modem and even bypassing everything with a net cable.
Brought the console to a friend and restarted donloading from scratch, passed incredibly the 12.25 point but connection there i very slow, so i only achieved 25gb.
Paused the download and gone back resumed downloading… Everything seemd to be ok, up until 39.97gb where everything stopped again.
hoping to help someone, a little update with my case:
-ISP is not the problem, as i downloaded FM7 on my laptop without issues (too bad i cannot play more then few minutes for a problem with my video card that needs to be repaired due to a ram failure)
-succesfully downloaded VLC media player on the console and other programs without issues
-It seems inside the game, cars are downloading as additional content by themselves, so my total amount of data downloaded, slightly raised from 39.97 to 40.13.
-i tried to update the store app, but download stopped resulting in a different error 0x80073d02
I had the same problem, i deleted the forza 7 demi which still was on my xbox, did a hard reset, disconnected and reconnected my modem and router, drank a beer and retried 1 hour later, worked like a charm
