1-Makes HE cars more valuable
2-Makes the #Forzathon reward wheelspins more valuable
3-Creates a Credit sink for those with overly large Credit caches
4-Keeps the game economy moving cyclically
I can get 60k+ on single bounty head to head race with a HE. When l win a Focus or an Evora (again!) I try to sell it once and after that just remove it. It’s literally not worth it to drag my heels on a car sale that would net me a few k. Feels great to sell anything but keeping my garage uncluttered is much more valuable to me.
I see a wheelspin car as a no win most of the time.
Sounds good. Do you mean by 4. that veteran players have a harder time getting wheelspins so younger ones can catch up?
Or that veterans lose all their money on bought spins? That’s not really cyclical because the spins never get easier again.
I agree with this post, I just disagree with their release window to apply this now, this should have been implemented before the game came out. Then it would have been great for a better economy, now it is bad since it’s unfair for new players towards day one players. I really do feel sorry for people who started playing only after Xmas (or play at a much slower pace than the average player) and still need money a lot to buy cars. They didn’t have the 5 mill HE car resell value @ PC, they didn’t have the 30% redux all cars at Black Friday and now they do have more expensive wheelspins and worse rewards as well. I honestly prefer the current system the most since credits were way too easy to come by in FH3. But I completely disagree they change it now. They should have tested there economy system better and decide before release day what to do. Bad QA from PG/T10, period. If a currency and an AH is involved, you don’t require many brain cells to realize that you need a solid economy system and it needs to be thoroughly tested.
Prices would have to be reworked. Cars valued lower than 25k are locked at 25k. (Why? I have no clue.)
Seeing as how it took six months to create the completed DB11 in the latest car pack, I doubt the devs will rework all of the prices of every single car. However if such a change was made, I would assume they would be smart enough to disable the feature with cars bought from the Auction House. (Insert logic.)
Same here. But I’d like to sell all of my RSX’s for 2,500 a piece rather than casting them into the void that is the limitless table of elements below my active auctions.
“Better pack your **** and prepare because you’re staying in Auction House purgatory for a LOOONNNGG TIME.”
Nothing would need to be reworked, i dont actually understand why youd think theyd need to. Instead of continually trying to sell a car on the auction house that will never sell, you sell it for half price like what used to be done in forza before forza 5. Its a pretty simple transaction, many games have had it. The minimum price in the AH has nothing to do with it. We used to be able to sell parts too, i dont think thats in these games anymore either.
I think removing selling cars / parts has to do with all the glitches over the years. It seems like almost every Forza game had an unlimited credits glitch at one time or another.
If that is the case, then it’s just downright lazy not to fix the bug/glitch, and just apply a blanket restriction on selling cars that is ultimately negative for everyone, and not just those who abuse the glitchs.
What gave it away? The news articles about the big man in charge custom ordering a Ford GT and all the attention that gets but bring up bugs that are “ten years in the fixing” and they ignore it all day?
It is just a wheelspin though - they’ve never been meant to produce a good prize. The whole point of the wheel spin is a chance at winning a HE car. Even then, buying it there is no guarantee you will have an HE car in the wheelspin so your chances of getting one are fairly low.
If you’re buying wheelspins to get money or get cars you should reconsider.
I don’t mind the 20,000 increase… but I hate how theres a stupid limit when you have just under 100k saying “itll leave you with insufficient funds” Who cares? you can win back that much very quickly anyways!
So last night I bought a few wheelspins because I was bored.
25 Wheelspins = CR1,750,000
I then got,
Supra RZ Horizon Edition
Holden “Drift Car w/ Blower” Horizon Edition
Ford GT
About CR500,000
And a few cheaper cars I can’t remember
So, the wheelspins is practically gambling, your paying money to have a chance to win. Also, it’s never a waste. Even if you get 5,000 Credits, you still won. I think it’s fun myself, but your mileage may vary.
If nobody did wheelspins where would all the HE cars for sale in the AH come from…
I suspect that a fair few come from Elite Painters/tuners using some of the “loot” to do loads of Wheelspins I mean if you cans sell a car for multi-million dollar profit then doing 100’s of wheelspins where you sell anything you don’t want back makes sense…
I won a Polaris RZR HE and a Toyota Supra HE by buying wheelspins… It hardly seems useless, especially since the Toyota is worth crazy money and I happened to get it after only a few spins. I spent a total of about 4m credits in spins.
Yes, it doesn’t make much sense to buy spins at early levels since you level up so quickly, but seeing as I’m currently level 914, I want to be able to win HE cars without needing 200k XP for just one spin.
Also, as has been stated countless times, the wheelspins are a lottery. You either win big or you don’t. imo, 50k for a spin was a bit low anyway since there are quite a few credit/car prizes that could negate or even earn you all of your money back. The change to 70k seems to balance the risk/reward system a little better.
I know that “it’s gambling” and you can play the game without it
but it’s not about that
it’s about the developers taking a feature of the game and making it worse or useless for players when NO ONE ASKED FOR IT
This is the problem with forza and the very bad direction it’s headed to.
The developers put things in the game that no one ever even asked for, and keep ruining/taking away the good things and NOT giving the people what they want.
Forza be like: “Ohh you want touge/winding roads? Here’s wide longs roads that are extremely boring unless you drive a 10,000HP car”
